I don't run my clod anymore because I don't want to ruin my painted hard body (lol). Can you guys suggest any lexan tops that is a direct fit (width, length and wheelbase) for the stock clod? (aside from the parma clod).

tia!

Im not sure if it would be an EXACT fit, but the proline 1/10th scale chevy C10 would probably be a close fit. I just bought the longbed C10 that fits the revo 3.3 for my clod, but I have a 14 in. wheelbase.

I don't have a clod in stock form but I have a thunder tech ripper and a clodzilla 4 assembled and running now I think they are the same wheel base as a stock clod? I have a toyota land cruiser on the clodzilla 4 and a ford extended cab on the ripper they both match up great. The toyota body is a proline body but it is not made anymore but the replacement for it is the bushwacker I think. I have no Idea what the ford body is. You should be able to put the grave digger and bigfoot bodies on it but you might need to get some different body mounts I like to use the one hpi makes they are about $7.00 at tower and are adjustable plus you should be able to just mount them in place of the original ones. Here is the part number hpi #A351 towerhobbies #LXLV92 or you can use this link http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXLV92

why not just buy another clod body... a beater body if you will.

in fact, look on ebay and get a first or second gen body with a nice grill, then swap the grills and make the show body even nicer

Thank you for your suggestion guys. I thought Parma is the only direct fit. 'till I found this in TC (killer paint job too!):
No dude watch out. That guy has some flattering angles in those shots. I have that body and it DOES NOT fit properly. The wheel base on the stock Clod is like 2" too short. If you look close you can see his back tires are about to hit the wheel arches.

I'm not sure about a Ripper, but the Clodzilla IV has about a thirteen inch wheelbase. The stock Clod Buster wheelbase is about twelve inches.

Well once you hit the "Mod-Clod" stage with aftermarket chassies it then becomes a matter of ride height that can also play a role on your wheelbase. Most times higher ride height leads to shorter wheelbase. Lower ride height and longer wheelbase.

Oh man. Its too late. Already ordered the body. Guess I have to use it on my brushless E instead. I'll either go with Electros' suggestion, might as well buy a beater body. Or if not, ill go for the Parma clod.

Why don't manufacturers see that clod owners also need a replacement lid or alternative body. Aren't there enough buyers?

Clod crowd pleazer anyone? lol.

Hey Joel, I still have my stock clod body. But it has some Tamiya bondo on the hood because I wanted to take out the blower. Let me know if you want it.:tmb
