Digger build....my first project

So after getting on here and reading a bunch of other peoples builds and scouring ebay for parts and stuff, I have decided to start my build project. I am a huge digger fan so when I saw Spyders tube digger chassis I got on the list for one. This is going to be a scaler for the most part but still drivable/bashable. I will post some pics up of the aluminum trannies and donor chassis (chassis will go on the b/s/t as soon as Im at 60 days if anyone's interested) I am also going with the aluminum beadlocks and rumbles from rc4wd. (Thanks Orange Pedeanaut for the rumbles) Im still on the lookout for someone to airbrush up a body for me, I don't like the look of the decals on the sides where you can see the outline really bad. Also thinking of going with hr air shocks for the look unless someone has a better looking shock to use. I realize this is going to be a HEAVY truck so I'm wondering what motors to run with it as I have a novak super duty and will run 2 batteries for it. Suggestions are always welcome, though I'm pretty set on how I would like this to turn out. Thanks in advance for any info.

14-17 turn motors would be nice in it. They will give you a decent amount of speed and run time.

Yes it will be a heavy truck. I look forward to seeing your build.

Snide comment - What's taking you so long!

Thanks for the comments, as a side note what would be the cost of anodizing the axles? The blue really doesn't fit into my digger theme unless I go towards the son uva digger. Would like to do the axles in black if its not too expensive. Anyone want to take on a commission job for a digger body!?! Anyone!?! Bueller!?! LOL :D

To possibly sweeten the pot, if anyone who wants to take on my body project, this chassis and crawler motors will be available. the motors are 75 turn integys, and not sure on the stick chassis.

Looks like you've got some nice hardware there to start your build. If your chassis turns out anything like the pics I saw of Spyder's work, it'll be cool for sure. Sounds like you'll have a nice scaler when done.

Thanks Mark. Im hoping so. Just trying to figure out the small details. Also, how is everyone doing their cockpits? Are those purchased seats or hand made? Looking for input on this thread also. Thanks
