Demonic Designs Dagger Chassis

Not sure if this belongs here, or in B/S/T, but seince it only applies to Dagger series vehilces, I figured here would be best, but move itf needed.

After 2 years of struggling to find a machine shop that was willing to work with me, here they are, all ready to be boxed up and sold to YOU!!!

First off, the Girder, the name says it all. Strength, Peroid, 'nuff said. Looong 12.5inchwheelbase, and dual battery slots angled to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. This is going to be what Cold Steel will be sporting for a while.

Seccondly, a flight of fancy, the OoZe. I was told to make the chasis look 'liquid' by our (missing) friend CrazyCoconuts. This is what I came up with. Its got eye-catching wierdness AND the performance enhancers to match. With a wheelbase extended to 12inches and a Center of gravity slightly located towards the rear to aid in jumping and handling. I will add more 'oozey' holes in the next batch because I took them out to aid a past machine shop in cutting. This chasis comes with either single or Dual battery supports.

And Finnaly, With styling inspired by a hand-held military blade, the Machetti. Influenced by Dagger Thrashers "Rapier" chasis' advanced design, I kept many of the same concepts in mind. The front gearbox is tilted up at 10 degrees, to give the front tires more 'bite' when turning, (known as 'Caster' in full size vehicles). Again, I did everythign I could to keep the batterys mounted as low as physically possible. The wheelbase works out to around 12.25in, not too long to aid in manueverability, but long enough to be stable at speed.

All chasis will be sold with everything needed to bolt up your gearboxes, steering servo and away you go. I left electronics mounting up to the owners, as preferences vary. This means, all the 1/4in alum rod cross braces, 1/4in alum bar servo mounts (no more flexing!!), and the M3 screws to bolt it all together. You will be able to use the stock tamiya screws to mount your gearboxes, though I would reccomend getting longer ones. There just isn't enough screw left after pasing through 3/16in alum.

Lastly, if one of my chasis breaks while you are running your truck, you will get a replacement plate. Note I said Plate, not Plates! Meaning you will only have to pay for one plate if you SOMEHOW mannage to break both plates. They are made out of 3/16in, 6061 aluminum, (thats about 4.7mm), good luck with that! Oh, and each chasis set will be de-burred, pollished, and engraved by me, (with number, chasis name, and 'Demonic Designs'+year). If you really feel you want a mirror-shiny finnish, let me know, we will work something out. I will take requests for text, slight design alterations and overall chasis design ideas, but custom work payment will of course be decided on a case-by-case basis.

All 3 chasis sets will go for $140 US (EACH!!) to *active* RCdaggerweb Members with a post count of 10 or more. The rest of the world, has to pay $150 US. Buyers will be able to choose their shipping, from 'standard', to 'next day' if they desire, as they are paying it.

As always, I have more ideas for chasis designs.
E-mail or PM me with questions, orders or whatever.

Sweet! Glad to hear it SeerHawk!

Sorry, no, no 4in towers included with these chassis. I will be offering some as soon as I get a couple chassis sold though, I assure you. (of course, each chassis will have a corresponding shock tower designed to match the 'style' of said chassis).

Thanks madhaw! Its really cool to get compliments from fellow 'Dagger Elites'.

I think thats what is killing me right now....the people who are running dual batts and extended suspension etc are the ones who make their own stuff...

Thanks guys!

I had all three chassis up on Ebay, none sold. Bidding started at $100, Buy it Now was $150. I didnt have the cross braces pictured, as I dont have the money for them right now...maybe that was a factor...I dont know, anyway, I guess I have 3 chassis to myself for now...
