Custom Clod (UPDATE 14 March)

I picked up some Clod axles from a member on another site.
I have always wanted a Clod and this seemed like my chance to get some axles. When I bought them I wasn't sure what I wanted, a monster truck or a crawler. These axles came with extra parts so by picking up a few parts I could have both. I decided to start with a monster truck style build.

looking pretty good so far.
You could get some axial ax10 frame rails mounted to the top of your chassis to make it a bit more scale-ish and provide a way to mount your body from

Thanks... It's a work in progress. I'll probably change my mind a dozen times before it's final. I have some 1/2 x 1/2 aluminum that I am thinking about putting across the top.

Paint Idea

I'm trying to stay on top of this. I have 2 other projects going at the same time. Pics didn't come out the best and my description may not be that great either, but here goes. One idea that I came up with for paint is from a line just below the windows on the doors, up and from the vertical angled line forward, along with the stripes, I am thinking of painting black. The lower rear I am thinking orange. :willy

I've been sick so I have'nt been working on this much. But I did some work over the last couple weeks. First off I made some mounts for the lower links and shocks. I knew those TLT plates would come in handy someday.

Mounted up. Didn't turn out too bad.

I need to adjust my links. The wheelbase is a little long, but this is where I am at right now. Too cold out in my garage yet to paint the body. Hopefully soon though.

Thanks for the kind words. I have a lot going on in my personal life right now. If its not one thing it's another. :ack Didn't get a chance to work on it last weekend and this weekend does'nt look promising either. Maybe thats why a build takes me sooo long. I get busy with other things and my RC's get a back burner. :bang This will get finished....hopefully sooner than later.
