We're excited to introduce our latest Clodbuster chassis, the Flashback! This aluminum chassis is designed around building an old-school, retro style monster! With a full-length aluminum frame, this chassis will handle all the abuse your truck can dish out! We've also added in some racing features like multiple shock mounting locations, revised suspension geometry, lowered Center of Gravity and a scale 11-3/4" wheelbase.

I called it back in the teaser thread, it's basically an early stage 3 "front-engine" style chassis. Retro sensibilities, but still raceable. Kinda reminds me of the current state of my Juggernaut; as well as an ESP Zilla chassis. Nice work. Can you do a version for shaft trucks?

not sure of the chassis stand off width as it comes stock but looking at it, If one were to change them over to (4) 100mm links instead. I can see a supershafty mad force trans dropping right in.

Just using the stock or super shaftys included 4 mounting cylinder's on the trans that are flush/90o sided at exactly 100mm and adding the holes in the plates where they need to mount, it's in there like swim wear.

the skid is already there.

stick the battery on the spare side of trans using cpr battery stays bolted to the tras plate and mount the axle servo's on the opposite side's of it along with the esc and reciever all on the opposite side of the battery so it balance's out and it sounds like a winner to me right off the get :p

after that choose your weapon for axles as rick has mip's to go from the mad force's 8mm to a 6mm or 5mm etc.

good stuff guys!!

So Mad Force/Twin Force/Kruiser VE-based Solid Axle Retro-racer? Sounds cool if I can ever get one of those. Otherwise, thanks to the price point, it looks like a good way to use a stock clod for bashing and racing use. And of course a Zilla II/Zilla III killer

one could just piece the axles together as I do, dont need the rest of a truck wich would be of no use.

I find it cheaper parting most builds together over buying them as whole/rtr when the 90% of it left is of no use afterwards type thing.

alot of my builds are off the wall too though I suppose

Forgot to ask. Could the cpe 4 link upgrade kit for a stock clod be put on this so as to not use the old suspension arms?

No orgs near me so that's not a problem LOL

I ended up pulling the trigger on one of these as I was ordering other parts for me stocker clod build so I'll be able to build the flashback with stock suspension arms if I need to.

I love that there's now a new retro chassis in production. I'm happier still that it's a Crawford. But man, that thing just doesn't look right to me. I'd much prefer a boxier look (I'm not looking for another Sassy Chassis, but that's what I think of when I think retro Clod). At first glance, I thought it was supposed to look like a bird. With the body on, It's not so bad. Maybe it'll grow on me. I wanna do a stockish build next.
