The rims with the black beadlocks are made by Hot Racing. They are for the losi mrc truck.I got this set off an ebay store called bizarre hobbies.

Did a little work to the front axle.Tried somthing different to beef it up....

The mip cups are tig welded to the stock hilift axles. The c's and the maxx clearance knuckles are from rcp, they are for the tlt.The mip cvd's are for an associated truck.

Got the trans the other day....

It seems pretty heavy duty, the only problem I had with it was this...

The black speck next to the pinnion gear is the REALLY SMALL set screw.I had never seen one so small.Had a little trouble trying to find a driver to fit it.I changed the upper link mounts also, ended up getting a set from f250 on scale 4x4,he does some nice work.

Hope to get it up and running soon.........

Good grief you weren't kidding about that pinion set screw!!!!!

Hadn't taken mine out of the bag yet so I hadn't paid attention. I have way over a hundred allen wrenches, and nothing close to that small. I have to use a magnifier to see which end has the hole for the wrench!

What size wrench did it end up taking, and where did you find one that small?

thanks

I ended up finding the set Im using at Habor Freight. It is a Pittsburg 32 pc.precision screw driver set, part # 97517. It was less than 7 bucks. The number on the particular bit is 0.05. Im not sure how they measure the bits, because I have some drivers in other kits that are marked with the same size, but are way bigger. The one in the kit seems to work for me so far.

hey I broke a few TLT axles rigth at the ball (just like you cut yours) would you be willing to weld on CVD parts if I pay for all parts and maybe kick in for some labor cost and shipping?

I also have some custom hornet axles I would like some CVD's welded too if you agree to the idea.

Alittle more work done, started moving the shock mounts, one down, one to go.Modified the upper link mount to bring it closer to the axle, used ax high clearance links, turn upside down to give me the extra clearance I need under the motor/trans.Still working on the m/t mount placement.....

thanks - i'm betting that driver is mis-marked though. i have several .050 drivers and they're all way too big. my guess is it's a .9mm, but i'm waiting for rc4wd to confirm

Thanks Eric,I was actually out in the shop working on this when you called.Tonights progress.....second shock mount,motor/trans mount, inverted high clearance links give just enough room, and a flex shot....
