Clod vs TXT/Jugg..looking for a 2nd truck

how well do people like the drive shaft type trucks like the txt and jugg compared to the clodbuster? i was thinking of building a second truck for play and maybe competition and i want it to be pretty real looking.. obviously you get a lil more realism with the drive shaft trucks. i'm weighing my options.. either way i plan on a tuber, just dont know what the basis of it will be.

i have a bone stock clod and was out of the hobby since about the time the jugg first hit the scene.. do the driveshaft trucks takes to mods as well as the clod does or does that different set up have its own list of issues? thanks - bob

clod or txt-1

wel bob, ive had both trucks,a txt-1 and a tuber clod . in my opinion i would say that clod would be a better setup for competition because there is less likley the chance of stuff loosening in the axles . in the txt-1 you have alotmore chance of grub scews that hold the axles to the tranny spinng loose. In the txt-1 you go from motors to tranny to drivelines to sraight axles.more likley something wont hold up. in my opinion i belive the clod axles will hold up better but the txt-1 looks a littile more realistic. i will say though both trucks can be used for racing or bashing , its your choice but either way the clod and txt-1 are great vehicles. also the are more opitions for aftermarket parts for the clod . happy building:wnk

I believe that the best shaft truck would be a Kyosho Twin Force; they are not easy to find but run good stock and better with modifications.
