Help: Clod or TXT-2

What should I do? I have clod axles, HPI 15T motors, stock wheels/tires, stock clod bare chassis, and a couple little things... a couple small orders from CPE/eBay would probably get the clod going

OR buy and customize a txt-2 for a more scale look?

Clod all the way. You have most of the parts already. Or maybe I'm biased towards the CPE order stuff... :)

I have had a Terminator from CPE and it was top notch! Also had a few other manufacturers chassis and they were all equally high quality!

But I am going back to CPE for my current build! If that gives you any idea where I stand lol

I've had a CPE Predator (W/ parma 97 Bigfoot) and yes it was nice and fast for stock gearing/motors

I'd love to do another 4 link stock chassis clod but they're VERY weak chassis makes me not want to- but also would like a scale realistic truck this go around..

Brett you list a "flashback clod chassis kit" on your site with no pics do you have any of it posted anywhere?

EDIT never mind found the sneak peak pic on Facebook LOL I will be waiting to see that one!

CPE makes some awesome stuff to help strengthen the stock clod chassis. I'm going to do a stock based clod and use their parts to complete it. I had a CPE Evolution a long time ago and it was fantastic. My next clod is going to be a CPE Terminator. They make awesome products and help keep the mod clod world alive.

Zac... you say you have Clod axles so why not buy a TXT-2 kit and make a TX-C2? You say you want a scale look have you seen my Ford of the dead build thread? ;)

I'm biased towards the shaft driven trucks.
Reason is I've yet to see a real truck with motors mounted to the axles. I like seeing axle tubes with the pumpkins and drive shafts connected to a center chassis mounted transmission.

Sure clods are fun, I've owned a bunch but they are not as scale looking as I'd like.

I like both, and I have seen some mighty unscale driveshaft trucks. The fact that a shaft propelled it, didn't always take away the fact some of drive shafts, housings, and tranny looked like a cartoon.
Kinda like all the guys running a nitro over electric because it a combustion engine like a real one, regardless of the other shortfalls associated with it.

I say since you already have some Clod parts, get a CPE chassis and put a nice Clod together.

Then.......

Get yourself a TXT and build it!

:D

HA! That might happen as I can't see buying a txt-2 and putting clod axles in it even though it looks sweet but when it has the most scale look of any MT going for it.. it would be hard to part out that shaft drive stuff

We'll see what Bretts new clod chassis looks like and go from there -

Get the TXT-2 and put the Clod tires on it. You'll have what you really want. My Clod's been in a box for years. That's what owning a TXT and a Clod will do. Shaft-driven solid axles are the ultimate in cool factor.
