Clod bashing (?)

I stumbled across this article on Wikipedia about the Kyosho Double Dare:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyosho_Double_Dare

The article goes to great length to justify the Double Dare and compare it to the Clod Buster, sometimes with (unintentionally?) humorous results. Of course I'm rather biased given how I used to practically destroy every Double Dare that I came across with my then stock Clod Buster. Actually, I didn't have to destroy the Double Dares with my truck too much because their plastic (!) drive shafts did a pretty fine job of that on their own. :D

and they mentioned the mrp high roller being nothing better than a paper weight. :bang:bang:bang anyone else remember the clash of the titans rcca had 20 years ago between those two?

Growing up, I always wanted one of those. I fell in love with the Nissan Hardbody body.

I still have two Double-Dares. Kyosho never got the credit they deserved for being the first to use a 3-piece wheel design on a major kit. They're still my favorite wheel and tire combo. You can get around the explodling driveshafts by using the Thorp DIrtburner dogbones and drive cups. Then you had an bulletproof driveline.
