wow 25 years of Clod? That has to be the longest available R/C I'd think. Is the chrome kit an anniversary kit?

Maybe they're gonna have a big get-together where everyone brings their Clods. That would be cool I'd like to see pics of that. But I don't that that's it because it would need to be publically known when and where and they ain't saying nothing except 11.11.11.

Maybe it will be a re-release. Shoot I'd be happy with that too! I've been priced right out of the retro clod market. Those sharks on eBay want a fortune for anything Clod releated now. A NIB bullhead for $720? A Clod decal sheet for $90???

^ ha ha Kenny you're right. Anybody crazy enough to spend some of the money they do. Dumb and rich enough to spend insane money on some items I know most people out of this hobby would be completely shocked over. More money than brains.

advertised the heck out of it, big countdown and everything for a LAME looking web page update. Don't know who's idea it was but bet they were reamed for it because all over the web people have been ripping on it making it a laughingstock.

Wow.....Things are looking up. I hope! The clod really is the longest running production vehicle thats basically remained the same. It has gone through cosmetic changes over time but overall its really the same truck. The blackfoot name has been around but changed in design over time. Cant wait!

As far as the website deal goes I sure dont hold it agaisnt them. What might have been a good idea overseas really didnt sit the same way here but really what did it hurt? As far as this goes I really dont expect the same deal here. Cant wait to see whats to come!

What do you supoose the significance of 11.11.11 is? Thats verterans in the USA right? Maybe theyre thinking clod is the veteran oldest monster truck. Maybe its just because its all 11s and they thot that would be a cool date to pick.

I think the fact its all 1's is what makes it significant more than anything.


All I know is the last Tamiya countdown sucked and Im not getting my hopes up for this one or whatever it ends up being. If its a new clod cool beans.. if its an announcement they are changing the color of the paper their manuals are printed on to blue I wont be surprised either.



I still love Tamiya, just getting sick of all this drawing attention to themselves for not doing anything anyone seems to care about.

Bill posted the link in the original post. it's was posted originally over at radiocontrolzone aka RC Car Action forum. You have to be a member to see it because they put it as an attachment so I got a screen capture. It says party? Oh Yeah! So what they heck does that mean. It don't sound like a re-release to me. Maybe a celebration at Tamiya HQ that they'll put pics up IDK...

I just noticed the dude who posted that on RCCA is somebody name Clodapalooza. Who the heck is that? Do they even represent Tamiya? The graphics in the "flyer" are beyond simple. It could be some guy who likes Clods doing a build or something not even officially sactioned by the big T.

In that attatchment image if you put it in photoshop and play a little it's a silluette of a clod or very similar truck. As for the name "clodapalucy" or whatever it has just those posts, I'm guessing somebody at Tamiya USA started it just for the teaser posts.

I dislike teaser stuff personally, it can get your hopes up then nail you right in the groin. Loads of fun there.:eek

Whoever started this teaser crap in the R/C industry needs a kick in the groin. Repeatedly. Daily for 6 months, then twice a day after that for 5 years.

As long as we have parts and or trucks we can put clod tires on, who cares what Tamiya does.. Sure it would be nice to have a new, Super Duper ClodBuster, but it's not up to us.

If you have a laptop, you can tilt the screen to see the watermark. Tilt it away or towards you and you should see it. I wouldn't be surprised if it is another prank though.

The sad thing is I dont think the new website was intended to be a prank. Just a gross misjudgment of peoples ability to care about their website.



That ghostly image behind the words definitely looks like a clod though.
