I worked for Hamilton Standard, Space and Life Dept. We did all sorts of Gov't projects. Satalites, NASA stuff including the sole manufacturer of the Suit and backpack, and a bunch of top secret stuff for military purposes.

Anyway, check out these pictures http://rcmt.net/images/rom/NASApic.htm I added the text about the EMU.

I really miss that job, and the crew I worked with too.

Wow, Bill, those are some *awesome* pics, both in what's in them and the degree of clarity. They are really sharp, crisp looking pics. Imagine if we had pics of our monster trucks that were that clear:drool

I saw these pics maybe about 4 or 5 months ago on a warez site and they were claimed to be by NASA and from NASA. None of these guys would be you by any chance eh...? These pics along with some amazing others were also posted up and also from/by NASA. Theres one of the sunset over the pacific ocean from space and also a few others.

Hey Will the last photo is amazing the others just take my breath for it was allways a large dream for me to go up to that level . But i just made it to a sar swimmer for the Navy !! For thouse dont know what that is Sea Air Rescue !! I jumped out of perfectly good helos to save pilots or any others !!
It like the movie the Guardian!! I lost my flight status due to kidney stones !!

anyways back to the photos the last one is real intense if you look at the center of the eye of the storm you can see some high altitude tornadosjust to the north west portion of the eye !! there is like three or four that I could see !! Im not a metoriolgist "weatherman" but we "sar swimmers " had to study weather conditions at a-school .
that was one part that I did do well in at school !!
Thanks for shareing the pics love them !!
Take care
Brett

whoa! the last photo was intense.

i wonder what camera they use.. the images are so sharp.
i always wonder what kind of camera those and also spy satellites use.. their lens can cut through clouds like they're not there at all.

No, I didn't take them, nor know who did. It was sent to me by a former co-worker who is still there, different dept.

What I liked is the clarity and sharpness, don't know what kind of camera was used but wish I had one. :wnk

Here is an award I recieved for a idea I had and submitted for approval and won for one of our projects.

What I really liked was the fact I got to put my hands on just about anything under the sun. I'd go into work and my assignments could be anything from raking the leaves out from around the oxygen and liquid nitrogen tanks to testing a rocket engine at wide open throttle.

Though I'll admit some of the ''chemicals'' I'd be either using, or working around were VERY scarey and or leathal. Rocket fuel, hydrazine, was just one of the deadly (and unstable) ones.

Wow - WAY cool!

Ah, UTC. My father worked for UTC for 30 years. He worked at CSD here in Coyote Valley, San Jose.

Hehe, if you worked for UTC then you probably know about how the guys out here at CSD "discovered" how dangerous it is a few times over the years. :D
