I wanted to break away from the trend to try to turn Highlifts into crawlers, and I know I'd of been bored with it, if I'd done it as a stock finish.

So, I did this:

The only Tamiya Hi-Lift I liked. What is the wheel and tire combo?

Thanks!.

They are Proline Dirtworks, and the rims are HPI Classic Kings in black. I think they have that classic off road fat steely look.

I actually got the inspiration for the race car paint job from two of the guys, Wireless and Zakspeed, on Tamiya club, who have done their's up that way. One in the BTCC Mondeo, and the other in the WRC Focus colours. There is a great movie over there, called "F350 Heaven", or similar, with in parts, showing those two fair belting (for Highlifts!) around a track or path, of some description...

I thought, "Damn, I'm doing something like that to mine".

Looking good :tmb
Very original for the HL. And the tires kind of remind me of D ick Cepek Quite Giants that were popular in the 80's

Thanks!.

Yeah... I was sick of putting DirtHawgs on everything, and these were released at the same time as the Masher 2000, but I'd never seen anyone with them, so I thought I'd give them a go.

Sort of remind me of huge Brat tyres..........
