Hi, I have a High voltaqe servo I want to use in my monster truck. I have a three cell battery powering the esc and receiver. I wanted to use a small two cell battery to power my steering servo. I have a castle BEC set at 7.4 volts. I wired the positive and negative wires form the BEC straight to the servo. I ran the signal wire from the servo the the rx. The problem I am having is the servo is not powering up. When I run the servo to the rx with all three wires it works, but will not work through the BEC. I have my crawler set-up with the steering servo wired straight the my BEC and it works fine, but I am only using on battery on my crawler. I can't find the problem, It seems it should work , but it won't.

Why not run the BEC to the reciever, and just leave off the speed controls positve wire to the receiver, and then not need to run a seperate battery just for the servo?
A castle BEC can stand alot of input voltage, and the receiver should handle it as well being set at only 7.4 V
