Apparently you're going to be able to have it any way you want..

Kit/RTR/Conversion.. Nitro/Electro.. Brushless/Brushed.. 4WD/2WD

Yes, all the CASTER vehicles will share common compoents. This will make it easier for shops and consumers when it comes to parts support. It also makes it easier to swap around parts and convert any vehicle to another. :tmb

That part, the conversion factor is awesome. Just like what made Tamiya great back in 1985. Caster Racing doing it now is just as smart. :tmb:tmb

there are no pictures of the actual Caster CORR truck yet...

however

All of Caster Racing's products are "standardized" or based off each other. So shocks, and towers might be different but many other parts wouldbe shared.

We are talking about the corr truck. They are working on the body this week. I posted pictures of the buggy just so people could see the quality of craftsmanship, etc.... The difference in the truck will be a body, shock towers, and maybe different front shocks and wheels/tires. We will probably need one of you guys to fabricate a cage like the SC8....lol.

I will post pics as soon as I have them available.

I should talk to 4U2NV, Bob and see if he's up for a cage that bolts on. :wnk

Hak, is there going to be a conversion for going from buggy to Corr truck? For people who have a buggy already and might want to conver to the Corr. If it is just shocks, towers and tires then it should be pretty cheap to convert. One week run buggy and one week run Corr!!

Now you are thinking like I do. Oh yeah, I designed it and I want to maximize it for hobby stores (minimize required inventory) and keep production costs way down....

That was the plan... Shock towers, body, bumpers for sure. For racing, probably spec tires, and maybe shocks depending on what Mikey finalizes.....

My fusion buggy is due today, acording to UPS tracking it is "out for delivery" :tmb

I'll be converting with Caster parts later, but in the meantime I'll get it setup, figure the motor that I like and most likely mount a slash type body. :wnk

i just read this whole thread, and all I can say is GREAT! its nice to see a smaller company, or at least less well known, come into the mix with E powered 1/8th stuff. its about the only way i could get into this part of the hobby (1/8th scale)

i will keep this thread saved for future reference.

Great job with everything. Cant wait to see how it all plays out.

Well, the hope was if we were the first and built it right, then we would go from a lesser known company to a known company....

Nice looking truck. Are those custom tires or are they off something else?

BTW I had a hard time really seeing what the truck looked like with those huge pictures so here they are resized a little smaller.

I have my servo and reciever installed now.
I went with a monster servo, JR z9100t so that'll steer this with authority.

Motor came in from hong kong today, pinion due tomorrow afternoon. I'll be able to test drive this week with at least nimh packs until my lipo shows. Should have been here already, from NY. :reye

Kinda funny, motor is here from Hong Kong before batteries from NY and pinions from IL

I am more anxious about pics than you! As for those pics, That was a prototype trying to show how we could do the wheels/tires before the SC8 existed. I saw the slash and realized that we could not do it that way as I wanted to have all the 1/8 scale characteristics (handling, durability, etc...) and was trying to show Mikey a way to make a 2 tone wheel to give the illusion of a normal truck wheel/tire combo. It is just a white solid rim with the outside painted black. I was asking if they had the technology to do a 2 piece or 2 color rim and had to use a visual example.

Don't worry, when I have updates, you guys will have updates... I am wondering what william thinks of his buggy......I would hate it if he changes the name of this site....+:rof

I misunderstood a conversation that I was involved with and there is no problem running the setup in the manual. It was designed to be an either/or depending on what esc was used and it just wasn't in the manual both ways. So the pics are the optional way, not the required addendum way. Sorry for the confusion....
