Carbon or aluminum

I like carbon fibre one of the strongest materials, they use them on f1 cars, I like aluminum both are fine one is lighter then other but strength wise carbon fibre is way stronger, I have carbon fibre cpe terminator my buddy has aluminum but if you want my opinion carbon fibre ALL THE WAY

To be honest you will probably be better with aluminum.

CF while lighter and stronger, is still not indestructible and when it does fail its much harder to fix than an aluminum chassis. Aluminum you can bend back over and over till it bites the dust. CF can snap, splinter and split and while its not impossible to fix it is much harder.

If your not worried about weight and are just looking to build a basher then good ole' aluminum is the way to go IMO.

We sell more aluminum Terminator chassis than carbon fiber ones. Part of that is simply the cost, but Mo hit it on the head too. Aluminum will bend if you hit something hard. Carbon fiber is stronger, but once it reaches its breaking point it snaps.

Carbon fiber is lighter and looks cooler, but for what you're planning on doing I'd recommend an aluminum chassis for you.

If I was gonna build a basher, not worried about racing, then Aluminum for sure! A hit to the side, or wreck with another truck and aluminum is gonna come out on top!
