Steven - Had a couple people contact me about not being able to register an account here. They were receiving messages about their email being banned. I just tried to create a test account using my valid email and get the same error.

We should get this working ASAP so new members can sign up. If this has been going on for a bit, that could also help cause a decline in traffic here. Thanks!

Worked fine for me, just signed up for a new member name with my yahoo email. Email addresses are only allowed to be used once, so if their email is already in use with a previous name or it has been banned, they wont be able to get on. Nick

Nope. I don't get past the page where you input your email address. As soon as I click proceed, I get the "This email address has been banned" message. PM sent.

Lots of old configuration settings... Cleared them all out and reset them to what is my "default" for my other sites. I also installed some software to "catch" would be spammers in that it checks against various black lists.

Please let me know if there are still any problems.

I have approved accounts when they're in the admin panel and we still get 1 or 2 a day so I don't know else is going on.

Hey Will!!!

I was one of the people having an issue signing up to the site again. I had posted over on rccrawler.com and CPE was good enough to pick up the ball.

One thing... it keeps saying to contact an administrator but even being an experienced webmaster myself, I was not able to find anyway to contact anyone to report the problem. There really needs to be a way for someone having issues joining the site to get in touch with an admin. I even sent emails to [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] but they all bounced.

Weird, I noticed in the admin control panel that Will has been banning accounts left and right, a couple a day sometimes, and yet he hasnt banned anyone in months...? Its like the board is automatically banning new users (that seem legitimate) and using his name to do it.

Welcome back Wolf, you lost your Z?

Your misreading the listings
You looked under "new registrations" and it has the word bann after but that's a TO DO list as the menu is in alphabetical order.
None of them are banned, and if you click unbann it puts the account back into needing authorization and they can't post or view until another confirmation.

Don't worry, they are not
I don't know why it lists them all like that, but it does and the accounts all work. I just learned to ignore that one long ago.

Do to the amount of sites I now run, I utilize a HelpDesk and do not provide email supoprt. This allows us to centralize support for each site as well as allow other staff to see resolutions or who is hleping who. Unfortunatly the company's software I chose to use decided to encode thier stuff with IONCube or charge a rediculous price for the un-encrypted form. Then the went and accused me of pirating their software on my sites when I ran the "pro" version here and their "free" version on my other sites. Then they censored all my posts to their support forums. So, I am in the middle of changing that and will have a new solution in place by the end of this week.
