Can't decide on a model

looks like a used traxxas summit would fit the bill for you...always can swap in a brushless motor if you really wanted to...water proof, has speed, can lock the diffs for light crawling, can do jumps also...

if solid axle basher is what you want, then mad force kruiser ve...like what jkracing37 said, spend $100 more, and you can get a new one ready to run...more durable than any other solid axle truck out there right now, out of the box...ebay and amain hobbies has parts support, as does supershafty.com...

ps- i wanna see pics of your truck on 42s when it's done...

I would most likely get the Stampede over the Summit. I just like the body and proportion better. I just need to do some more in depth research on the Stampede and Mad Force then just make a decision because which ever I decide on, I need it by Labor Day weekend.

I post pics of the when it's done. I was supposed to go up to the shop Saturday to hang out with the owners but the wife decided she wanted to spend a week in South FL on the beach so i'm getting ready to head out to door for a short vacation. I will see if they will text me some progress pics, but for now here's a pic of one of the owners truck that inspired me to go pick up my 350

32" LIFT WITH 52" TIRES AND 20" WHEELS

go with a stampede. i have had a few and they are really, really tough. parts are at almost any hobby shop and are cheap if you actually do break something. they can come brushless from traxxas and can really get going pretty quick even on NIMH.

you could grab the xl5 version now and upgrade to a brushless system later as your skills get better, both trucks have the magnum 272 transmission in them with metal internals.

oh and they can handle clod tires by using the sticky in the stampede section. clod-o-pede.
I'm thinking hard about it! I would skip the XL5 and go straight for the VXL...I want the 4wd lol.

if I ever do another custom electric build I think my next project will be another crazy WK but instead of monster sizing it I would do that one as a hole shot mud truck.

next and tempting even now is a tricked TXT.

Haha, I have a pic of that truck and others to keep me motivated to build my next street 4x4... Getting rid of my lifted f150 and starting a f350 crew/ long bed myself.

What's TXT? What's TXT blasphemy....:D J/k

This is the TXT. They look incredible when they are custom made. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-58280-RC-TXT-1-Xtreme-Truck-1-10-/320796794336?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item4ab0fa9de0
Thanks. Pretty cool looking.

LOL. I know what you mean. My Tundra is my daily driver(when i'm not on the bike) but the f350 would be a weekend ride. Kirk drives his everywhere.

Hey Pitbull, what lift are you running on your Tundra? That's a sharp truck. I want to get my Sierra up on 35x13.5 tires.

It's a BDS 7", but had some custom work done for a total of 10" to fit the 37x13.5s. You should only need a 6" lift to clear the 35s, at least to give you enough room to go off-road and not rub like crazy. I see a lot of guys running 35s on low lift trucks but you can hear the scrubbing when they go over a speed bump or make a turn in the parking lot...
