for the guys who i trust on here, i usually just send as a gift anyway- without them asking...and sometimes. if it's a deal already, i just throw in the 3% myself to cover the fees since i know it's already a deal...

Pretty much everything has been said in the first page.

I have no problem shipping internationally, I have shipped items everywhere around the world, from paid for stuff, to little tidbits
around the world to forum members including paying for the shipping myself just to help out guys with bits and pieces to complete their builds.
Have even sent a 'suprise' complete Midnight Pumpkin to a guy as a 'thank you' at no cost to him, as he was a real nice guy in the past
and doesn't have much money, It's a nice feeling to give to others :)

I have never ever had a complaint about anything I have sold or passed on. In saying that I absolutely CANNOT sell junk, I have a conscience
and if something isn't up to MY standard, I have to fix it before it leaves my hands, I will even buy new parts for something I am not happy with
before it is sold. And I will absolutely, describe every minute detail, even so far as to talk down any indiscrepancies with the item so much, that
the buyer will think "Hmmm, that's not as bad as he says it is" because I dont want them to receive any nasty suprises. Absolutely everything is disclosed.

I have only had one international trade go sour, and that was the Juggernaut that was never shipped from the UK, false tracking number and everything.
I paid 4% on top to cover myself, and thankfully that saved my bacon. The guy ripped of a few people with that truck before me and one more after (that I know of).
I would never rip somebody off, ever. Everything I have ever bought has turned up at my doorstep apart from that one truck (it wont it it isn't sent), and everything I have ever sent has turned up at the designated location. I always back up anything I sell.

Also as far as buying from people who are from the States/another country who's auctions are only listed as national. It doesn't hurt to ask, be polite and as accomodating as a buyer and you will be rewarded. I have only been turned down once when asking if they would be so kind to ship to New Zealand at my cost.

It's even rarer to find people who trade like you do, and when you do, you keep them close and trade alot more and make lasting friendships/bonds :)

... but perhaps with the site growing and more scammers scamming that it is time we do more rules, i.e. only PMs on sale threads...
Let's not do that. What I love about our BST is the ability to reply within posts and the info I gain from others who know more about the product. They often list info the seller is withholding or not aware of. This has happened often with wideners, Clod rims, TTR CVD's and chassis, etc. You can also see when something is sold. PM's make you waste your time. Most seller don't even check back once they consider the item sold.

What I find offensive is people listing items for sale with no prices. I'm not going to make you an offer, guy. Worse yet, no pics. I don't even bother with those posts. And not that freshly built pic from 3 years ago. Show a pic of the item as it currently sits. No camera? Grab that cell phone. Someone in your vicinity has a cellie you can use and email the pic to yourself.

rcshortcourse has a bst setup with no reply's post or bumps and all done by pm for their BST and it is the worst forum bst setup of any site and forum I have ever used so removing reply's and being able to edit "my thread" from the bst is a big no no for me.

I do rc's sites, metal detecting sites, various video game sites, automobile sites etc. and none have a terrible setup like rcshortcourse does and I wont even bother trying to by sell or trade on thier site anymore becuase to me that is just ignorant really.

if the seller want's to do it by pm only and no reply's there capable of posting in "thier own thread" pm me with any questions offers or comments if that is the way they preffer to do it but that is already an open option for all of us and does not need to be manditory...

Big huge +1 on both points. What I love is people wanting offers, you offer them, then get a scalding PM back how you are lowballing. I dopn't even bother with ads anymore than don't list a price or pics.

What bothers me the most about no pics is that is an EASY way to run a scam. The whole "email me for pics" thing allows scammers to use pictures of other people's rigs/parts to front as their own. I remember seeing guys getting nailed on Tech posting pictures of other people's stuff in their own FS ad. If a scammer has an ad with PM for pics, then there is such a slim chance they will get caught doing that.

RCSC is TERRIBLE for BST. I have tried of three separate occasions to purchase something from people on there only to have my PMs go ignored.

I often post, "Pm's are best", but that is so I get an email telling me.
I don't want to hide anything, but unfortunately I don't get on here like I used to.
I hate sites that are pm only, though.

I agree with pretty much Everyones points on here, it shouldn't be hard to sell something on here. Be Honest is the biggest thing and communication, also some people will post rude comments about the prices of your items, I have seen it before so instead they should pm you with some helpful advice or move on, instead of being rude. I don't see any problem in working with some one on the fees , I have always had good deals buying on here, but selling has never been great for me on here so I usually don't sell so i cant help to much there.
