There's also the CKRC aluminum trans gears - http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_22&products_id=922

They're CNC 6061-t6 aluminum with gunmetal gray hard anodized (29.99). The RC4WD gears are hardened steel (39.99).
$10 isn't too bad of a jump if the RC4WD gears are going to be better.

I have the CKRC gears in my WK and haven't had an issue. Tho I'm not running brushless, I have a 19t 600-size motor in mine.
I also haven't been in my trans case since I put 'em in so I honesty don't know exactly what they look like atm.
But like I said, I haven't had an issue so there's kinda no reason to take it apart.
