I agree, I'd opt for the under 5000kv and go more a budget motor and esc.

Otherwise if I needed to spend that kind of money I'd go with a full TEKIN system. TEKIN being what I consider the best even if I cannot afford it.

I am ZRP
Gavyn the RC Soup Children's Miracle Network ZRP Diablo ran the reedy 4900 motors. Maybe Kevin will chime in here on their performance.

I run 3700kv - 4800kv motors in my trucks. Joe runs both 5700s and 5800s in his.

no doesnt matter Ive see sum people run these with no problems..

I was only curious about the 6100kv because I know sum people run the hobbywing 6000kv and the castle 5700kv...figured if it was paird with a sidewinder I could always dial it down a lil bit

I liked castle 7,700 in my outdoor clod years back.
Gets warm for a all out bash session but for racing that gave me close to the top end I had come to expect.
Or 5,700 on 3S looks good too.. Really get crazy on 4s......

Cool...how much did you have to dial down the power to make it controllable? Whats your opinion on the 6100kv Reedy motor?

When I set my truck up, the castle 1/10th scale stuff had just hit the scene and there was No dialing out power.
You just drove it. :)
I have been out of the loop too long to tell you about the new motors..

5700's in a clod is basically right on the limit in my book. 6000 + is just insane for any practical racing application.

Ball is spot on too. Dialing power back is best done by just not pulling the trigger in all the way :cool
