Break Light On Esc?

I am getting everything rounded up for when the new high lift and it was a toss up for using the novak xrs or the super rooster esc. I am thinking of using the super rooster due to being able to use the break light function. I have never used this function before but my question is do the lights stay on all the time then light up brighter when the esc trips them or do they just light up when the esc tell them to.

Thanks Red

I had one before. If I remember correctly, they (lights) only light up when you hit the breaks, that is when the throttle is pushed all the way up.

if you can figure out the voltage the esc puts out, then you can provide an always on lower voltage that switches on with the headlights, then when the esc brakes the lights will get brighter

now you have to make the turn signals work

I have all the lights for the head lights and roll bar already working in a juggy body I have but I was thinking it would be cool to get break lights to work. I was just out in the garage tring to get them to light up. I tried a single led I had that already had wires on it and it lit up when you go into reverse like I want, but when I took a set of tamiya head light like I have in my lunchbox I couldnot get them to light up at all. I am confused with this I dont know why the tamiya lights wont work I did try them on the bench using a single AA battery and they worked very dim of course but they still lit up. Any Ideas or should I just wait till the mfu comes out.

I have the Novak brake light kit 5655 that is discontinued and works with the SR. Let me know if your interested. It's a bag full of two LED's, various connectors, two led holders that would attach behind the tail lights and help diffuse the LED light, and wiring. $15 shipped.

Chernabog has the Novak brake light kit hooked up to a Super Rooster. When the reverse is turned off, then the red brake lights come on only when applying the brakes. But if you have the reverse turned on, then the brake lights come on only when the truck is moving in reverse, like back up lights. They will not turn on when applying the brakes if the reverse function is turned on.
