Justin this chassis and Gavyns CRD pushed him to a new level he said , and was sooooooo time consuming that he was backing off for a while on building them .

there will be a time sooner than later that he will not be making them anymore ... plus ive had this in motion since end of may last year :emot100:

It will be sad to see the day when he stops making them. Hopefully I might have a chance before he completely stops.

this is from John :(

" You can give out my email if you want but I really cant take anymore orders for a while..I'm going to get caught up on my current workload and then see what happens..I may continue but Im going to have to cut back on the orders I accept...Its just getting tougher and tougher to find time to build the chassis.. thanks again
John "

Hopefully he just slows down and doesn't stop completely. He's good at it and it makes him a few extra bucks on the side.

ok after staring at it for an hour lol.. i didnt like the batteries in the cab so they went upfront , i know a few 1:1 guys have done this before

have to shift the thing into 2nd ;) added the shift case

next came the gauges ...this was tricky being it was my first go at something like this , i cut some thin aluminum for the dash plate , painted it and used a dab of shoe goo to hold them in place then painted them :) i think they came out ok . very tedious lol... i know there not perfect but thats the best i can do for now

i have a busy Sunday so i probably wont get to work on it tomorrow ... but stay tuned much more to come :D

Battery placement is much better - I was thinking that front plate looked like a great place to do that. Are you gonna build it all up and do a maiden run?

Of course it will be run Spence BUT it won't be run hard ...but that's a ways away lol...have a lot to do still

The dash and gauges turned out sweet, and that shifter is so cool. I'm still not really feeling that battery placement though. Is there not enough room to squeeze them in somewhere down by the tranny?

thanks OSD ! the shifter is 2 clod roll bar mounts i cut and glued together ;)

and i wish there was room down by the trans :( but John made it fit like a glove ... im not sold on the placement either but thats the only place not to look cluttered , i am open to thoughts on where else to put them

Haha, that's clever! I thought it looked somehow familiar! Good thinking!:D

And in my opinion those batteries are just fine up front, because even if there was room for them in the cradle, you wouldn't be able to see them properly with the sponsor plates covering them and all...:)
