Rear links are now also shortened 15mm. Painted the steering links with Plasti dip.

Bounty Hunter Bodies arrived from Team Blue Groove. Great product and great service. I had some spare Nitro Circus decals and red paint so thought I'd do a Nitro Circus body up. Gave it a test and stripped the trans gear almost instantly. Have ordered some hardened steel gears and transmission locker. Getting close now.

Haven't had much time to check the shocks but so far they are great. I've changed out the rear 30wt oil down to 20wt as it was too thick and will be doing the same on the front. It's looking like they may leak slightly on the black tube though, I've noticed some oil on the tube but that also could just be left over from when I swapped out the oil.

Some more parts arrived to lock the transmission and the Robinson Racing spur/pinion!!

First real test run went awesome but sheared the pins on the rims. Will be doing a bolt mod that I did on my sons WK.

It's all finally starting to come together now.

For my rear body posts I'm using the Proline posts but not putting the nylon nuts on the outside. Have been using Velcro only and it's been working well.

The front posts I use the nuts. Just didn't want anything on the outside rear of the body for a more realistic look.

Getting a bit frustrated with this truck. Haven't been able to run it for more then two minutes without breaking something. Snapped the rear transmission output today. Where as my sons Wheely King just keeps going.

That stinks! I'm concerned about your experience because I've been gathering parts for a similar build. What all are you breaking?

Thanks,
Steve

I can't quite tell from the Axial transmission set picture you posted above, but the transmission outdrives look like the original Axial hard anodized aluminum design? The steel outdrives Axial now uses (AX30435) are far stronger than the aluminum outdrives.

Mip or maxx/revo shafts will end that problem!!
Nah, it was the axle shaft that is built into the transmission. I'll post up a pic.

What have I broken so far. The problem I think is because I originally bought a Chinese clone of a wraith without knowing. However now about 90% of the truck has been replaced with Axial upgrade parts.

Also, I'm getting a LOT of torque twist. I have just noticed a new product high ratio transmission that would fix this issue.

https://www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-wraith-high-ratio-transmission-conversion-kit-ssd00016/p498702

The Traxxas motor is 3500kv I think and I may need to adjust the throttle down a bit but I mean it's nothing crazy at the moment where it is set.

Broken parts:
Clod Rims (pins/lugs) sheared off
RC4WD/Axial link ball ends are snapping (2 or 3 snapped so far with very little use)
Trans gears (Chinese rubbish)
Rear diff Ring & pinion (Chinese rubbish)
Trans Axle (Axial or Chinese part, will have to look further though hoping it was the China one)
CVD axles bent very very easily (Chinese rubbish)
Drive shafts look like they are just hanging in there.

It's easier to list what hasn't broken: diff cases/lockouts, steering knuckles and Trans case.
