Bone Crusher Twin Force

This one isnt really that new but I havent posted it up yet so here you go!

Im still ironing the bugs out of this one. Not crazy about the battery placement, it was supposed to temporary but due to laziness its stuck around far too long haha. I need to get a shorty lipo so I can drop it sideways between the frame rails a little farther back. Its just far too nose heavy right now and its messing everything up. That and I need some new ladder bars that arent so warped big time!

By the way the body is a tribute to me and my glass bones haha.

Not really, but its far from an ideal setup with how stretched they are. It works well though.

Man I really like the theme:tmb:tmb:tmb

Does that weight under the electronic tray help off set the motor?

Ahhh another set of imex diamonds...cool, I still have mine, but they're painted black.

How well do the shocks work ? It seems like a pretty low angle you have them at. What kind of spring/oil combo are you using ?

I like the body, it came out great.

I really just needed a little more weight to get the truck up to min weight when we still had weight limits with the club. So I figured putting it on the opposite side of the motor would be the best place. That being said I have no idea if it actually does help at all haha. With the battery so far off to the passenger side as it is I think that offsets it well enough on its own, but with its newly planned placement the weight balance will be more and some offset weight might not hurt.

Thanks for the compliments on the body too! It was a process I hadn't tried before but the end result is pretty cool.

Im not happy with how the shocks work that laid out. I like a little rake in the shocks but them being almost entirely flat out front is a setup nightmare. They pretty much stop working at a certain point so some new towers to raise them up a bit are definitely in order soon.

I like it Mo
Ever think of trying one of the saddle pack lipo packs? Then you could shift it around till you find a weight balance you like?

Definitely. Its either gonna be a saddle setup side x side closer to the spur gear or a Losi shorty lipo crossways in the chassis closer to the spur gear. Whichever it is, its gotta get the balance closer to the center.

Truck looks mean...like the body too. You paint your own or do you have "a guy"?

You could always do the saddle pack like Kevin H did on his recent project clod.

I try to paint as many of my own as possible, this one included. Only if it needs to be something really wild will I seek out a pro.

This is gonna sound really stupid, but even though Im sure the packs on the side of the chassis works better.. it looks awful. I just looks to nice with the uncluttered chassis to re clutter them up with packs on the sides. Plus even with the pack sitting a mile high like that the truck doesn't want to roll much at all. I mainly just need to move it to stop it nose diving tendencies and take some load off the front shocks.

I would try moving the ESC behind the motor, and half a saddle on it's side next to the motor, other half laying flat infront of the spur

Someone had their motor mount/electronics plate turned around, then mounted the battery between the rear frame rails. I always liked that and thought I might give it a try on mine. You could reposition the battery box for weight distribution as well.

Looks pretty good to me though.

Ouch!

Looks good! If I ever get another truck it will probably be a twin force. The graphics remind me of some of my trips to the hospital too. I've compound fractured my hand in two places and shattered my femur in two separate incidents. Thank goodness for titanium rods and screws:tmb

I actually tried flipping the motor plate setup on an older Twin force and was never crazy for it. Losing the front one way was a big downside and really the weight distribution isnt bad as of right now.. my battery placement just sucks. Once I get the pack back in the chassis it should be golden.

Thanks again for the compliments on the body too guys! I almost wish it would be a different theme, but it came out pretty sick and I truly am made of glass. Renegade for one can really attest to the complete and utter lack of ruggedness that I bring to the table.
