Body shopping Rockslide RS10 on a monster truck

It seems I am always body shopping, lol. I like the RS10 Hummer concept body alot and am thinking of using it on my Ground Pounder. Would it be wrong to use a crawler body on a monster truck? Can I purchase just the body? I assume its painted? Where can I find it's dimensions?
Thanks,
Trent

The body is available separately (painted only), but is shorter than a GP body. No rules that state you can't put it on the chassis though!

Wow, that was quick! What are its dimensions? Or how much shorter is it?

I have one on my Losi Comp Crawler. It's smaller than an old school pede body for sure. Mine measures about 5-3/4" wide at the flares and 10-1/4" long from bumper to bumper. The wheelbase looks to be about 7-1/4" or so. The actual scale of the body is close to 1/12th scale. It works well for a 2.2 sized crawler, but would be way too small on a ground pounder sized truck, in my opinion.

Plus the body mount holes on my new-from-the-manufacturer body were drilled way off, so the body sat crooked, at almost a 30 degree angle to the chassis. I was waiting for a replacement based off what I was told by the dealer I bought it off of, but it never showed up and I just re-drilled new holes for it to fit straight.

Yes that is really lot smaller. Almost 1/2 size. Thanks for the dimensions. I guess I'll keep looking.

Well 10.25" wont even fit over the GP frame. I wonder if there is another body similar to it out there?

There is the 1/10 scale hard plastic Hummer Hx body off the maisto/fastlane rc toy that I used on my CC01 project, but being hard plastic, it wouldn't hold up to the weight of a ground pounder in a hard rollover very well. Check out some of the generic r/c's on ebay, I think I remember one of them running a Hummer lid of some kind. There's also the HPI Hummer desert truck lid, if it's still available...
