Couple more pics of the chassis...
Here's a picture of the carbon fiber motor & electronics plate that houses the 6.5T Novak motor and Hobbywing 120Amp ESC. Everything fits into the compact space for a nice low CG and it looks neat too!
The battery plate uses straps to secure the battery. One of the things I like the least is to machine square chassis stand offs so this plate was designed to attach to the chassis using aluminum servo stays.
The battery sits just a hair under the slipper assembly to keep the weight as low as possible.
Although the tiny little receiver could have been mounted to one of the chassis plates I wanted it to look a little more factory so I designed and milled this neat little receiver plate. It sits just above the electronics below and if needed I could always add some extentions to mount a fan just above the motor (I think that would actually look very cool - pun unintended).
Now if only the weather would clear up a bit so I could run this on the track again and snap a new vid...
