Big Pull in St. Louis, MO - Sunday Oct 13

Sunday Oct 13 we are holding a tri-organization pull in O'fallon, MO right by the Ozzie Smith Sports Complex. I'll post the address asap. It will be on a ball field. The 3 of our clubs (which are located about an hour from each other in MO/ILL) are co-sanctioning this event, and rules will be a bit relaxed since we all have a few differences from one another as far as rules go. We are also using this pull as a "meeting of the minds" to unify a couple rules so that next summer we can run a big point series under the "Midwest R/C Pro Pulling League" banner (a nod to the 1:1 LOPPL) with our own rulebook. We are very beginner friendly, and there will be a big crowd of scale crawler trucks getting their first taste of pulling via the Stock and Pro-stock classes. Each class is estimated to have at least 10 trucks minimum, with mod 4x4 having around 20. It will be a great time in a laid back environment!

I regret that this is the same weekend as World's, but it was the only weekend that would work for all parties involved. I made sure that none of our guys were planning on attending the Worlds before finalizing. We want to get a first event under our belt before the weather turns so we can turn this into a big "West of the Mississippi" series next year.

Big thanks to the MMRCTPA and Central Illinois Pullers for all their help.

Please check www.showmescalers.com for more details, thanks.

I'm an NR/CTPA puller up in Chicago. I too will be going to the worlds but will keep an eye on your other events.

Are you going to be pulling and crawling on Sept 29 at Mark Twain?

Not anymore, just crawling on September 29. We had to split the event due to expected turnout. We couldn't handle both the pullers and crawlers on the same day in that small area. We already have a crawling course built at Mark Twain and they requested we do the event on the 29th because it being a customer appreciation day at the store....so we decided we would just do pulling it's own weekend so we could do it right and without a rush.

In a way I'm glad it's Worlds weekend so we can work the kinks out with just local guys before running a few big events next spring/summer. Hope to see you at a future event!

Sutton motorsports will have choice of 2wd truck or tractor up for raffle at the event. There will only be 125 tickets $5 a ticket or 5 for $20. Money will be used to help put on the event the mmrctpa will put on next spring.

Yeah, thanks to Sutton Motorsports for raffling off a truck. He does great work. We should have a great car count for this event!

I edited the OP because we are adding some classes (basically we are running every class that each club runs) and the location has changed to O'Fallon, MO. I'll have confirmation of the reservation of ball field tomorrow that we will be using. Here is the class list. Due to the amount of classes we are just going to be running for fun and/or cash purses. We will use this pull to finalize rules for next year. The club that is sanctioning the class is listed in ().

Stock 1.9 Crawler (SMS)
Stock 2.2 Crawler (SMS)
Mod Diesel (MMRCTPA)
17.5 Pro-stock 1.9 (MMRCTPA)
27t Pro-stock 4x4 (CIPA)
Mod 4x4 (MMRCTPA)
Super Mod 4x4 (CIPA)
Mod 2wd (MMRCTPA)
Super Mod 2wd (CIPA/SMS)
Pro-stock Tractor (MMRCTPA)
