i do not think the balancer will work,it states it is for a a123 battery pack which the one you listed i do not believe it is.i do not have any experience with lipo, but i am sure some one will post better info and a balancer that is correct.

The battery is LiFepo (almost the same as A123) not LiPo. I am mostly wondering about the charge lead/balance plug working with the Blinky balancer.

i am sorry,i found the info on the link for the battery was a little vague .i did not realize they where in-fact a123 cells in a case.i went to rc10's site and confirmed to my self that they are a123 cells.so the blinky balance should be good.
my question is why don't you want a regular lipo pack?it would be 7.2 volt instead of 6.6 volt which is the one you posted. looks like you need the wire and plug for the battery pack

Mainly because this type of pack is supposed to be inherently safer. I may give LiPo a try at some point, but for now I want to get something that doesn't require an LVC, lipo sack, etc. Also, I don't think I'll miss the .8v once I go brushless.
