How fast is the stock Wheely King? I read 8-9mph on another forum. Is that right? That's slow as hell...

Is the Jolt ESC waterproof? Does it get hot with the stock motor/gearing?

they are around 9 mph but a think someone tested it at around 14mph on here. I saw the speed control totally submersed in water and it said the truck was unharmed. And the speed controller and motor didnt heat up too much when i ran my brothers. They are great litle trucks and alot of fun.

rcca just "reviewed" :reye it and clocked it at 11 mph with the stock motor and 21 tooth pinion. I just read it last night, I got a free subscription when I re-upped my tower membership :)

So the new RCCA has a review? My issues come a few at a time, then no issue for a long time... So I don't have the current one yet.

11mph ain't too bad... Still slower than a stock Clod I think which reaches 13mph if I remember right... I think I would have to put some heat into mine. Hopefully the Multiplex motor will get it to 15mph or above. I know it can with a bigger pinion. Or maybe I'd go to the HPI 20t Saturn or Tamiya 20t Sport Tuned motor (they are the same I heard, the Traxxas Stinger the same too).

But can the WK go that fast? Like 15-20mph? Or will it roll over like crazy?

My gun must be way off I had 14 many timees and 17 a few times times over. Because so many have said 9 to 11 mph it really makes me wonder. When people say they did gps how do they do that.

rcca swapped to a saturn 20 they said for more speed, but gave no number

Heck, drop a 19 turn machine wound and a 24 tooth pinion in it if you want cheap speed.

They said as long as you leave the rear suspension alone and don't remove the crossmember the handling remains predictable at speed. It can still roll, but not like if you take the crossmember out. Then it's got good flex, but at a handling loss.

Someday the brushless god will leave a setup under my pillow and I'll put that in my 4wd WK :rof
