Do any of you use that sealed endbell HPI Firebolt 15 turn motor in your Wheely King? If you do how does it work and what gearing do you have? I'm thinking about using this motor with 2.2s.
when the time comes i am going to try one in my W/Pounder being there cheap lol... i know a few guys ran them in there clods and they rip pretty good :cool
I think with the right gearing it would rip on a WK too and yep the $15 price tag has got me interested. Plus i like sealed endbell motors they seem to last forever
I ordered one of them and a 14t pinion and 13t pinion. Idk what size pinion I need but I have a 15tooth pinion on my 17 turn motor and its good so I figured 14tooth or 13tooth will be close.
They are pretty solid little motors for what they are.
I run them in a few of my clods and was surprised on how fun they can be to run in there. Definitely nothing high horsepower but they get the job done at $15.
