Is anyone using a Traxxas Titan 12 in their wheely king? I need a new motor my multiplex bit the dust today. I was bashing wot as usual and I rolled it and for kicks I went wot again to ballon the tires and bam threw a wind or something. A puff of smoke came out and it makes a light clicking sound when it spins. It also has very weak power output and sooper weak brakes.

But I'm running clod tires so I need mad torque. I was thinking either the hoo firebolt or Titan 12t. I want cheap motor but I don't want to have less power than I had.

What do you think does the titan 12t have a lot of torque like a magnetic mayhem or multiplex 600?

Its one of the more unreliable fixed endbell motors out there IMO. That and they arent that great to begin with.

Go brushless! ;)

they are pretty awful. find some older local racers. usually they have boxes of old brushed motors from when they switched to brushless. ive found modified brushed motors fro those guys for less than what a titan cost new, and are powerful and rebuildable.

for the 15-18 bucks on ebay there cheap motors ..... and for the amount of bashing you do i would try one :)

i bash like you and have no issues ..... i dont have the funds for brushless or lipo so i make due with what is in my budget

if you were racing different story

Yeah I'm trying to stay within a reasonable budget which is getting hard to do because I want everything and have a hard time passing up a deal when I see one.

In all honesty, a tacon brushless motor is less than 30 from nitrorcx and a e-pay sv2 or sidewinder for near 50 bucks I'd look into that

Yeah brushless is a lot better but I gotta wait a while to upgrade to brushless since I'm gonna need Lipos and a charger too.
