I remember those vids from when I was a kid, good stuff. I got caught up watching all the other original Tamiya videos that are posted on you tube, some good ones, frog, sand scorcher, fast attack and so on.

I think I watched the vid more than 5 times now, lol. I like how that tamiya voiceover exaggerate all the "hi-tech" features of the clod way back then.

Yah, but back then some of those features would have been "hi-tech". I was doing a little cleaning the other day and found most of the stock suspension and tub from an old tear down. Who knows, maybe it'll be a re-builder.

Oh, man:willy I want a stocker so bad now! Well, stock wheelbase, really. I just built my brother a Z3. Did you see that powerslide, those jumps, and rooster tails??!! I would have cut grass for months to buy one of those had I seen these vids as a kid.

Cool! I hadn't seen that particular video, but I saw all of the old Tamiya classic flicks back at my old hobby shop when I was a wide-eyed kid.

Thanks for sharing that link. It brought back memories of when I first got my Clod Buster back in 1987.

clod is surely my fav truck - i still remember that "ear to ear" grin i had back in 2001 or 2002 when i opened that box! it was bone stock, with a banged up body, but it was so big ! i knew how big it was going to be, because i had a USA-1 previously, but this was a clod - that usa-1 wasn't in the same league as this - i didnt even get to run it that day, but the time i was suppose to be sleeping ( back then i worked 11pm - 7am) i spent the day staring at the truck and giggling, like a school girl whos crush said "hi" to her, lol

Did anyone say "rattling pile of glassy brittle plastic, including the dogbones, that never had more than 2 wheels pointing in the direction you want to go in at once"?....

This clip is a real nice find and I enjoyd watching it a few times. I even saved it onto my computer. Looking back at the old MT's on youtube "The first and original Monster Truck (Bigfoot) really makes me miss the oldschool days of MT events back when I would watch the TV guide to see whenever it'd be on air. IMO the new styles of MT's and Monster Jam racing isn't the same or as fun as they used to be to watch back in the day. Too much new technology among all the newer trucks today but the improvements were for the better but still IMO nothing beats the original oldschool stuff. Now days whenever I see Monster Jam or "Monsters of Destruction - MOD" I just pass it by because it's just not the same and somewhat a little bit boring.

This clip as inspired me a project that will see it's day in a long time to come. A mild stock Clod with a few minor upgrades but nothing too far out to over do it. Well it was this clip plus a few clips of the original Bigfoot. LOL
