Anyone ever repair a Lipo?

I was wondering if anyone on here had any tips on how to repair a Lipo with a bad cell? I have a 6s for my Truggy that has dead cell and was wanting to try to make it a 5s pack. I know it can be done, I am however a little nervous. I haven't cut into it yet but does anyone have any tips before I get started? It is a Turnigy 25c 6s 5000 if that changes anything.

Can someone move this to the electronics section I didnt see it before posting oops.

I just cut off the heat shrink if it has any, remove tape that is holding the multi-cells togehter.
Then take a strong solder iron, and detach the cell, and balance wires from the main pack.
many of the cells are double sided taped to the next, so you need to run something between them that will not pull the covering of the cells away from the main cell body.
The cell looks to be covered in a thick aluminum foil like covering.
I took a plastic putty knife, and ran between the cells as I pulled.

Then there are pieces of thick silicone type rubber that keep the tabs of the cells from touching each other.
you will need to remove them, and reinstall them as you reconfigure them.

You will need to reinstall your main battery wires, and properly reinstall in the correct order you balance wires.
You will need some tape to hold the cells, and silicone tabs back in place,
and if you have it a piece of heat shrink to cover the battery.

If it was in a hard case, you will need to fill the case with a soft foam to take up the space of the missing cell, or trim the case down to make up the diffference of the missing cell.
