I had one of the first ones, really nice truck. Seemed well done except for the front bumper seemed weak but they have changed it. Much better than the traxxas 4x4.

If they've changed the body and tires since the early months then I think it's a rockin rig with almost nothing else needing to be addressed. Some guys wanted more steering, but a couple quick dremel buzzes fixes that. See the short course forum linked off of RC Crawler for lots of good info.

It'll smoke a traxxas in handling very easy, very easy.

I do like my Jammin better, but the ofna is alot like it except a pillowball front. Both are basicly revamped downsize 1/8th buggies. Much more race than the traxxas.

Do NOT get the RTR truck, bad shocks end even worse electrics, rest of the truck is goood but you'd want better shocks, bl system, new wheels&tires and aftermarket body.

Ofna re-released SCRT-10 with a new name NEXX 10SC that has standard size 2.2/3.0 tires and wider body to go with but it is a 80% pre-assembled roller so you'd need electrics (TRX Velineon system would do just fine for esc&motor) but look into that if you want a Kick00000 truck

Looks like the 4wd AE SC10 is hitting the dealers, there are a few on Ebay claiming in stock immediate shipping. My original (brushed) SC10 is light years ahead of the Slash as far as handling goes, and I'm sure the 4wd will be no different.

No, been messing with the monster jam and wheely kings to much to even think about anything else. I have not driven my SC8 since last summer even.

Funny thing about the SC8, it's so bullet proof stock that I've kinda been just using it only a little because if you don't work on it you don't need a test drive. :laugh

I happened to get a sc10 4x4, and Ive gotten to run mine inside a few times(rain limits outside time) Its fun to drive, and IMO wast to hard to assemble, the clicker in the front has 2 options locked or unlocked, so basically you can have 4 wheel braking with it locked or 2 wheel braking with it unlocked, and for small carpet areas unlocked is great.%40 motors are a little tough to mesh right(3 other people at my LHS had the same problem) But my castle sct system makes the truck launch like a rocket ship. All in all its a blast to drive(I'm having more fun with it then any of my clods etc right now) Pretty tough too, Ive lost count how many times ive slid it, flipped it or straight run into a wall, table, brick wall, and even a barrel. Nothing is broken no cracks nothing, its a amazing little truck. And as far as the belt goes, no wear on it at all.
