Another SMT-10 new owner question about ESC and motor

Hi all,

I recently purchased an SMT-10 Max-D for bashing. Was looking at the Holmes Hobbies TrailMaster BLE Pro ESC and Puller Pro BL 540 Standard motor but they're a little pricey to get my hands on here in New Zealand.

Looking at a Hobbywing EZRUN MAX10 SCT ESC but not sure what motor. Any suggestions and is this a good ESC?

I'm looking at other upgrades to support this as well, starting with a Hot Racing transmission.

I personally think the Hot Racing trans is overpriced, I would get metal gears for the stock trans, and a metal transmission mount as I've been hearing the stock trans mount is soft, and the torque can pull the trans screws thru the mount.

The hobbywing ESC is good - 80-120amp will be fine. 4000kv will be pretty quick on 2s..
