You stand correctly they will work.:)

The wheels I bought will not split or crack in the middle unlike the Clod wheels they eventually show fatigue cracks years later.

Picked Up The Wheels Today

:) I Picked up the wheels today and I must say that I'm very pleased with RC4WD for going the extra mile in packing these with great care and respect.

I also like to thank Brett
for packing and shipping these also.:)

Plan on pulling the rubber off the plastic wheels and put them on the Aluminum wheels.
I may decide and get another set of tires with lighter rubber compound later on in the year. But we shall wait and see being that I dont like seeing tires sitting on the shelf in the dark not being used. And no I have no intentions of selling the Clod tires being that they been with me since 1989.

Yeah their gorgeous but I dont know what made me think these would fit onto the GroundPounder.:rolleyes So I'm thinking the CPE Clod wheel wideners with the plastic Clod wheels now. I dont mine working on the Monstertrucks as long as it is kept simple and not get too far involve in hacking up wheels.
I guess I was thinking more of the 14mm GroundPounder hexes than paying more attention if the wheels would fit onto the GroundPounder or not.

But anyhow no worries!! the aluminum wheels will be used on the metal edition Clod.

I run the imex jumbo maxx 14mm diamond wheels and jumbo maxx chevron tires, the wheels have the perfect offset and clear the steering perfectly, wheels bolt right up with 14mm hexes with no modifacation and are the perfect width.I just recently upgraded to 17mm hexes and wheels since my current setup was destroying wheels

Way ahead of you there.:)

I have no real intention of doing any bashing with them being that they are heavy. More less "Show and Shine";) and running on smooth ashphalt. If ever I want to bash I'll just pull them off and put the regular light stock chrome plastic Clod wheels with tires on that came with the kit. I know two people North of me that think they are at the top when it comes to RC and these wheels should look good on them in return.

It's all good.;)

Thanks for the info KingKlod. I found the wheels at Amainhobbies and are a little cheaper and readily available.

I like the looks of those aluminum beadlocks but they are just so darn heavy...I tried them on a TXT and Clod and then even my tuber and it just cause too much breakage...they look really good tho...On my GP I used black Stablemaxx wheels and emaxx cheveron tires...

Do you have problems with the tires rubbing against the shocks? Mine has those wheels and the stock GP tires and they hit the shocks when turning.

I had that exact same problem alone with the factory stock GroundPounder tires. But I found it can be cured just by trimming out the steering on your radio.

Mine are rubbing with about 50% steering travel. It seems like the Stablemaxx wheels put the tires closer to the shocks? I'm not sure as I bought the truck this way so I don't know what it was like stock.

Well if I'm right it would of been the same issue. I already experienced this with the factory stock GroundPounder.:)

Yeah I just adjusted the steering until it stop touching the shocks!!! I was fine after that. I will need to see of what will happen with the wheels and tires I ordered today. I have plenty of time to work with the GroundPounder before Spring arrives.:cool

http://www.imexrc.com/servlet/the-192/IMEX-DIAMOND-NYLON-RIMS/Detail this is the link for the imex site,I think these are the 14mm they also offer in Chrome and black, the rims are a little bigger in diameter, but i have heard of people stretching clod tires onto them,or just get the jumbo tires, for the hitting the shock problem with the stock wheels,I relocated my shocks to the top front of the axle using angle alum from lowes

Relocating your shocks will solve your problem, these mounts might look weak but surprisingly they haven't bent or broken, and my truck has taken some big hard jumps and landings, its on 3s lipo with a 7.5 turn brushless setup, the screws I used are stainless, the springs are the ones I posted about earlier from lowes with rpm monster gt cups
