:madI dont know between the phone ringing and this truck I've given up! I'm so frustrated I can't seem to get this binding to do anything for me. I think I'll stick to the Clods. Their more user freindly unlike this electronic modern junk
that I dont have patients for. I think I'll just put this GroundPounder up on the shelf and let it collect dust. I printed off the instructions from CPE but Im having a hard time understanding it completely.:conf

You shouldnt have to drain the batt completely, its a NIMH so it dosnt have the memory problems like a nicad. I left my 4600 duratrax pack half charged for the whole winter, put it on the charger and off i went.

Those radio problems are unfortunate, i ordered two GP'ers never did any binding to either of them and they both run just fine. Like you i saw no buttons on the ESC so i assumed it was automatic. The lack of any real instruction for the radio dose suck. I have been unable to find any online either, unless they where in german...

Im thinking the battery pack is faulty. ESC beeps stating it's ready but the truck will not go foward or backwards. Once I unplug the battery and plug it back in again it wont beep the second time round indicating it is ready. Sorry to say but I do think the battery pack is rubbish. Because why would it beep the first time when you plug it in and then you unplug it and plug it back in again right away it wont not beep the second time. I'm about to throw this thing off a cliff. BTW the LCD screen reads Channel (1) No.1 at 5.9V when I turn on the transmitter is this correct?

Just checked, mine says channel 1 at 6.2v? mabye you got a dead cell in the transmitter?
I pulled the rechargables out earlier in the day and put four Duracells in and the voltage was 6.8 V at first. But tonight it dropped down to 5.9 and a little less while it was sitting on the desk while i was posting here. This truck is just like being on a mushroom farm with a complete mystery yet to be solved LOL. Next on UNSOLVED-MYSTERIES LOL.... Rechargeable Alkaline Energizers sit between 5.6 to 5.7 v. The problem with LCD screens they use up power in a short time with regular Duracells. Honestly I don't know what is wrong. I simply can say.. that I don't know what to do but maybe test the voltage on the battery pack with a voltage tester and see if it is charging proper. (Quote) from William Shatner>> Wierd Or what! and I love it.

I think today I'm going to try to reset everything by unpluging esc and servos from the receiver and check and see if the battery pack is putting out enough power with a voltage testor. I may end up taking it into a Authorized dealer called Twisted Throttle Hobbies that's not far from me. okay!! I just finished checking the voltage on the pack and it say's 7.95 DVC. So I'm a bit skeptical if this is normal or not. I told my father and he said that's good. So I don't know if it's me that caused the problem becoz I was touching the settings on the transmitter as I was trying trim out the front steering. I hope Brett can help me out!! becoz I'm lost in this.

Brett If are reading this I did send you a message yesterday.

Just to be brief I did a voltage test on the ESC and it read 7.12 DVC and the battery pack sits at 7.86 DVC after. Once I plugged it in the first time today it said do you read me and I pushed foward and reverse on the transmitter with the LED light coming on as it should and when It doe's this nothing happens. I think it could be that the voltage drops from the pack as soon as I plug it in. Becoz everytime I unplug and plug back in after it would not sing do you read me anymore. Just a little electronic beep. It's until later in the day or the next day it would sing do you read me and it's the same thing all over again.

Have you tried any of your other battery packs?

Or charged the supplied GP battery pack with something other than the over night wall charger?

I have not tried any other battery packs becoz this is the only one I have with this particular red connector. I have no other charger for this particular pack either. Other than the over night wall Charger they supply. But even at that I can't plug that in over night becoz the battery gets pretty warm after three hours or more. I plugged it back in the charger a few minutes ago with no shame this time round. I just checked just now and the pack is still cool to the touch after plugging it in two hours ago so I don't know if the pack is going through it's first cycle or what.

Never been a fan of the overnight chargers. If you want to keep the connectors on the battery and ESC; I would cut the connector off the overnight charger and use it to make a charge lead for a decent peak charger. Atleast that way; you can see what is going on with your battery.

I've nevered been a fan of overnight chargers either. When I leave to pick my daughter up from School I always unplug the Traxxas ez-peak charger or wall charger. I will never leave my wife alone in the house with either of those plug in. BTW I unplugged the pack about five minutes ago and it was pretty hot. But like you said I should cut the connector off the wall charger and should install a Traxxas connector on where I cut so I can use the Traxxas EZ-Peak.

Brett I really do need your help on this. Battery pack is fully charged, The ESC it did not play.. you read me. The led light come's on as it should but the truck does not move. I did push the button on the receiver the second time and all I get is tiny little flashes from the ESC and then I push the transmitter trigger and the truck did a tiny foward jerk and that was it. I don't know what is going on so I really need your help! otherwise I'm stuck with a expensive item that's brand new that just sitting here doing nothing that's taking up space.

Hey guy's there's a tiny light that blinks red on the ESC when the truck sits. Now what I want to know is that also a button. I know their a button on the receiver but is that light on the esc on the GroundPounder just the same as it is on the Traxxas MJ trucks. I just want to know if that stock ESC on the GroundPounder has a button before I start poking it. The truck want's to go and it did do you read me twice tonight. But once again the tiny light blinks

Well I guess this peace of cr*p is going straight into the garbage dump. What a waste of freaking money. Freaking jap scrap. Better yet I'll put it outside so the mice and chipmunks can chew at the wires lol. Clods still rank #1 as a true MonsterTruck.

I think if I did that I would use Traxxas connectors becoz I have the Traxxas EZ-PEAK Charger that works great for me. I don't think My 24 year old SIMCOE charger will take Nimh pack as it was only designed for nicads back then. I know the truck want's to go I mean lastnight I plugged the battery pack in when it was warm just to see if the ESC would talk to me and it did, but once again the truck wont move. I've noticed that theirs a wee tiny intermitting blink from the ESC when the truck is just sitting. You can barely notice it blinking but it's there.

I sent a support message to Brett earlier in the week and he nevered responded. So I don't know. Honestly I think it's the pack not charging up to full capacity even though it has gotten kind of hot that I need to unplug it. I Also think its not holding a charge after lastnight becoz the ESC did not say anything to me just a few minutes ago. It's a mixed bag that's for sure.. The only time Brett response to me is when I make a purchase. Other than that nothing. So Im stuck in the middle here on a mushroom farm. Therefore I'm just going to walk away from this and forget about it and put the thing back in its box and cover it up in a closet.
