I usually grab a bunch of M3x30mm and cut to fit.

3/8ths delrin cut to 75mm, drilled and tapped for 3mm hardware.

How do you cut em down? Whenever I try to put a screw in the vice and cut it, it wiggles up and down on me

Put some nuts on it first. Then clamp it in a vise on the nuts. Then cut away and chase threads with a die.

You can cut 3mm screws with Electrician-lineman pliers

then file or grind the end a bit if needed


Nut's in a vise is ok for cutting screws, it just sounds painfull
