I just realized something. I have NEVER built a Clod. Never once. Never started with a brand new kit and built it from the ground up. I don't know why, but this bothers me.... :conf

your not really missing anything. i built one stocker and it wasnt fun. the fun part was figuring out when and how i was going to upgrade it.

if you can get the stocker to work correctly, it is always nice to have one but they are just a terrible truck with the original setup. i would say if you build a stocker go right with the CPE link kit for a stocker, and upgrade the linkages on the axles. that would be pretty cool. you still have the short comings but at least it would help it a little better than the bendable original stuff

I know I'm not really missing anything per say, but I just kind of feel like I should have at this point. I've tinkers with them a bit in stock form, and built up stuff from Clods... Just never built a stock truck.

Stock is a VERY fun build, but running it is frustrating knowing what it can do if you dump a bunch of money into it. That's why lots of guys look for axles or used trucks. Since you trash more than half a kit it makes more sense.

Sure you can build one cheap it you make many items, but iff you don't have the skill or knowledge it means you'll sacrifice some things, or have to pay out.
