Do any of you have airsoft guns?

A friend at work got me into playing airsoft. Man getting hit hurts more than I thought it would :willy

I got an assualt riffle today too so I can light him up!!!!

G36, electric full-auto or sinlge fire. 370 feet/sec (ouch!)

I like electric best. I have a Co2 pistol and it shoots hard but I like electric. Just like R/C, ease of use. Charge and go. Plus electrics allow you to fire at an incredible rate. 10-14 shots per second in full auto.

Here is a video of an electric assualt riffle firing (same gun I got but I did not buy from this guy)

I've been reading up on airguns and airsoft...I don't know if I wanna get the CO2 or green gas. There is an all metal PPK that uses CO2 and metal bb's.

There's also a WE hi capa 5.1 full metal, blowback, and uses plastic 6mm bbs! The ones I want are expensive...the hi capa is $100! Crazy prices but man are they sweet. Here's two vids:

Walther(I'd get this gun just cause it was in Goldeneye :reye)

Uh, dude - that is called a bb gun, not an airsoft gun. <LOL>

I had a cheapie full auto assult rifle from MC Sports. It was fun. It only shot about 170 FPS but still enough to sting ya. Had it for a year and no one else bought one so I sold it. My nephews we supposed to get guns to play but never did.

Well thanks for the expert advice on these toys ;) The only difference is the size and material of the ammo.

as the battery dies down i would assume the firing capabilities fall to ?? how long you get off of one charge ?

All airsoft guns shoot 6mm plastic BBs. They come in different weights for great impact/accuracy/speed depending on what you want.

My electric one does not loose power as the battery dies. The motor just turns over some spring device that pumps the air. The first shot and last shot have equal power.

What does slow down is the rate of fire in full auto mode. The motor takes such little power to turn over, that once you notice the full-auto mode slowing, you only have a few shots left until it won't fire.

Here is the one I got. Echo 1 G36C Ver. 3

Mine is a 1:1 replica of the assault riffle used by the German army today. Or so they say on the web site.

My friend has a 1:1 replica AK47 :drool

OH! i got several airsoft guns. 1 pistol, 1 fully auto machine gune and 1 green gas pistol. They are fun to play with but hurt when you get hit, lol.

My green gas one you can't shoot other people with because it draws blood :bang but other than that it's fun. We have a garage that we set up to play airsoft in (kinda like paintballing but with airsoft guns)
Really fun!

What is green gas? I haven't heard of that...

Depends on the mah of your pack. mine came with a 1100mah 7cell pack and wall charger that will fire a few thousand rounds before dead. It's a mini pack just like the ones used in the RC18Ts. I use my Integy charger to charge it :tmb

But some guns will take full size packs too. It just depends on the design of the gun. My gun has no spot for a big battery so if I want to use a big one it has to be strapped on the outside. The larger gus like the AK47 and M16s take the battery in the butt of the gun so the sky is the limit. You can use matched 4200s if you want.

All you get by increasing the cell count is a higher/faster rate of fire in full-auto. The velocity of the bb is determined by the spring/interals of the gun (which can be upgraded on all good guns).

The green gas is just another way to fire the gun. Instead of using a C02 cartridge, you can use this propane/silicone mixture. Its similar to filling up a butane lighter. I prefer it over spring, electric, and C02.

I got an M16. It's the M16A4 which I guess is the most modern M16. It's 1:1 replica with metal body, clip, and internals. The grip and stock are plastic.

My GBB M9

Hey, this is an old topic but I wanted to share my new gas blow back M9...its full metal and has a nice kick considering its an airsoft gun. Very realistic, heavy, and fun to shoot. Check it out:

I have a Tokyo Marui Glock 26 Gas Blow Back running on propane, and a Tokyo Marui VSR-10 sniper rifle with upgraded spring, and trigger parts.

I used to have a Tokyo Marui HK Mp5 that was upgraded like crazy, had a genuine MP5 flashlight grip and genuine MP5 stock filled with Nimhs, but i had to sell it, it was too insane.
