i see on ebay this piece and i would like to hkow why people use them?

i never install a motor in clod axle so i imagine we have to open the axle etc...

They're used to allow people to run smaller/larger pinions. Crawler guys like running 8-9T pinions and the motor mount allows you to get the proper gear mesh.

No need to open the axle to install these. They simply bolt between the end of the motor and the gearcase.
