The bumper's are listed in the rules to prevent cutting them off in order to meet lenght restrictions! If you are righ at the maximum lengh without them, that create's the issue. No problem not having them on CUSTOM MADE BODIES. It is also there to prevent building custom bodies to gain an advantage over those using manufactured ones. You are building to replicate an actual vehicle. Darren supplies pic of the real one.

Thats basically are shaft drive class here. No tires bigger than tlt and must resemble an actual modified 4x4. Example my two trucks are based off Cody Lewis' Fired Up and Rob Jacksons Bad Attitude.

Does Tamiya still make any vehicles with that chassis? If so, your Diesel class would probably be a good beginners class.

In the full size class a rear bumper has always been a option but rear bump stops are a must to keep the truck from backing up to far and hitting the guy hooking the sled. There is around 40 rucks in TN KY and IN that don't run rear bumpers. Even on a scale class though I would want the bump stops just to look real.

I guess you know the black truck from PA that was in TN last friday. Here is a vid if it is the truck. If you want to see any of the others I have most of them.

Yeah, that's the truck I want to model. The seniors where there on a fieldtrip, and they came back with a ton of pics. Our teacher showed us the pics on the projector in front of the room. Some of those trucks where amazing.

as one of the founding members of the bruiser class, i hated to see it go by the wayside although with the prices of the parts and such, ples some other reasonings, i decied to get out of that class and start in some others including the big rig class. I love the scale appearing classes and modeled a couple other pullers off the 1:1 pullers. i have been away for a couple years BUT i will be back at the springs with all new looking rigs....BCC please email me whem you get a chance

jeff let me know if you are really showing up tina's is on the shelf right now we she had the only one out there for a couple years now...
ALSO:
the ex board has elected to allow more kits into the bruiser class...however they were ALWAYS legal if you read the rules.... so lets say you had an EMAXX lets say and were able to build a frame or use a buiser frame and cut down the components to fit into the rules you would be OK there are a coupe more kits to look at the Ford 350 the 4x4 wheelie King, and the HiLux (I think that was what it was.....those were the ones mentioned....

Speaking of realistic and Big Rig, now that center balance is comming out, I plan to start working some realism into my rigs, little by little.

Do you have to be nrctpa member to do exhibition pulling? If so how do I become a member? I would like to make it to the springs but already have plans, but I will probably make it to the worlds.

pro stock diesel puller

Hey All,
After seeing the pic.that bccrawler has of the pro stock diesel puller that might could be a big class for the nr/ctpa if you used the high lift truck,be no sense starting a class with a chassis thats discontinued.I think most everyone already has a high lift and it would be easy to convert, you can lock or unlock the rearends in a couple of minutes so pull with it locked on a weekend and unlock to play with any other time.
I think some of the rules should be.
High lift truck with the original 3 speed tranny in it.
original tires for that truck.
6-cell battery in its original location.
economy mod.motor.
low hitch to save on gears.
must use a hard body any brand,no lexan to keep the truck weight fair.
Well its just a thought.

But the kit is not discontinued. Tamiya just rereleased the pajero which is the same chassis. The f-350 would be in the bruiser class because it is shaft driven with center mounted tranny. I designed this class to be a cheap way to get into pulling. Starting with a $300+ before electronics imo is not cheap.

pulling

Only thing im saying is almost everyone already owns a high lift truck and by it being so easy to lock or unlock the axles gives the 1 or 2 times a year puller a truck to pull with and play with both, for as im concerned i dont need anouther class to fool with i pull enough trucks the way it is,i got way to many 4x4s the way it is im sitting here looking at the
07 World champion 4x4 truck now.
They need to be a class for a stock kit that takes almost nothing to have it ready to pull
something that kids can pull and then take home and run up and down the street or a trail.
Just my 20 years of pulling 2cents worth.

All you have to do to a pajero is lock out the rear, add a weight bar, put a hitch on it, and extend wheelbase for body being used. Thats doing one more thing than what you would have to do to a highlift.

IMHO, this is not the class for a HL. Not everyone has them, I know of quite a few people who don't. For the price of one HL puller, I could have 1.5 XC pullers.
