Hey guys I need some info or some help when you all pull like at the worlds do you have a different sled for 1/18 scale or do you not have 1/18 scale ?
I am in the works of building a sled for just 1/18 scale so I'm in search of some photots for measurement sizes .

This is what i'm doing I am working with big brother and big sisters of Virginia and the Foster kids in transit . I am going to have around 5-10 club trucks to use for these kids / adults . I have got full permisson from my church to do anything I want on the property so I have free realm !!!! The Name of the Group is going to be R/C Racers 4 Christ.

So if you have any old trucks that are laying around and wouldnt mind donateing them to a great cause this would be greatly helpfull. My wallet can only go so far before the wife is going to kill me !!lol

Thanks guys and gals

we have pulled txt's with the "light sled" they pull about as much as diggers which are probably even cheaper than 1/18th scale (the txt's pull more actually) we used a modified eliminator sled (we just lightened it up by taking the aluminum box off of it and putting a plastic one on it) you might go thru some breakdowns you really should have 32 pitch gears in the pullers......I think (probably) they are 64 or something...we used to pull radio shack too with a dragon wagon sled.....

I built a 1/18th scale 2WD Pro modified . . . . with a 7.2V 1/10 scale stick pack it was pulling 20# using an eliminator sled.

The 1/18 scale track would be small . . . 300' would only be 16.667'

Thanks

18 scale sled help

Hey guys let me ask if I was to host a true 1/18 scale pulling event would there be a decent turn out ? I can run it indoors or even run it outdoors !
Also make it just for 18 scale what do you guys think?
Oh and to the sled I am working with Gene from Challenger to help me out with some of the mods for the sled !
I understand that the elem sleds pull more and that is due to a couple things one is the sled skid is much smaller than the challenger and the overall weight I belive is lighter than the elem . Not to sure on that part . But I have pulled on both sleds . With my Nitro savage's .
Well Im up in the air as to what to possibly do !
Thanks and all the help is muchly appreciated !!

I personally don't know of anyone else that has scratch built any 1/18th scale pulling trucks or tractors . . . . what did you have in mind for pulling trucks? Using like the Mini LST, Mini LST 2, Mini Monster Baja, Rammunition, Raminator & TXT?

Thanks

Chris is correct. I don't think you will get much following if any with an 1/18th scale event. All of our rules are based off of 1/10th, which is what I would suggest using. I think you will find that the cost would not be that much more if any. If you think about going that route keep us informed. We live in Northwestern PA so a trip down might not be out of the question. There are also a couple dirt pullers that live down by the PA/MD line. Hope that you are able to get what you need.

Yepp I had planned on useing the typical 1/18 trucks like mlst and mlst2 and mini quake ezilla raminator all them other 18 scale trucks. As for interest I think the 18 scale has taken off as well as the micros they have gone off like a bomb .
As to track Im thinking indoors is going to be the best just for the fact that we can run no matter what the weather is !!
Hey I do appreciate all the help !!
Thanks agian
