ship everything to the venue via UPS - never fly with anything r/c related because 3/4 of the items you have won't make it on the plane - motor spray, shock oil, other fluids, etc . . . . . . . it will be cheaper too.

anyone know how to get my lipos there safely?!? coming from the 50th state, so no way to get there but fly...

i was figuring out how to get batteries up there, and came across this:

http://safetravel.dot.gov/documents/airline_passengers_and_batteries.pdf

so it looks like i cant take my case of lipos up and only carry 2 "spares" as a carry on?

I am sure you can ship to the venue or I know quite a few including myself has said that you can ship to us personally. Another option would be that if you are going to the Nrctpa worlds that the items could be shipped to the hotel itself. I have had many items shipped to there for sponsorship purposes. That hotel is pretty good in that respect. I could provide you with names etc of the right people to talk to.

I also know there was a bit of pm talk about flying into Chicago and you guys renting a car and driving to the monster truck hall of fame (roughley about 3 hours), then to hotel where the nrctpa worlds is held (just about an hour from there) and then to Cleveland after the Nrctpa worlds (I think thats about 2 1/12 hours away). Dont be afraid to ask for help for any of these things. If you need Chicago info I live here or Cleveland info ask Bari as his hometown is Cleveland. We are all here for you!

Phil's Hobby Shop will be at the NR/CTPA Worlds and we are working on getting them to have an on site shop at High Voltage. All of us that are local to these events and these clubs are ready to help those of you traveling. We want this week to be the biggest monster truck and tractor pull the r/c industry has ever seen. So as Eric said please don't hesitate to ask here or pm us.

That sounds great that Phils is looking possibly doing a shop. Phils has been a great supporter of the Monster Truck guys and Pullers for years...awesome! I know I was going to do some looking my self for shops out by Cleveland as I plan on being at both events but thats awesome to hear...thanks for posting that Darren.

Talking to someone today I noticed this tidbit about the Monster Jam Stampedes that I posted in the High Voltage section. Heres the link to it...

IF you are shipping to the Hotel bust off a call to the Hotel tell them who you are and when you will be picking the stuff up.....the Dutch had problems with thier shipment from Europe..... however it was a customs issue...they did get it but had to drive to Ft Wayne....if you guys are coming I'll dig out my grass skirt

This is really looking like it's going to be an awesome event. I don't think I'm going to be able to make it, but you never know what will happen in the next several months. Someone's definetly going to have to capture some video. It will be fun to see how this turns out! Being that I own a TXT and a Mad Force VE, I'm really excited to see how that turns out. I think the TXT may be out gunned, but I could be wrong.

I was fortunate enough to have a chance to swing by Tamiya America last week while I was in town for Monster Jam in Anaheim! I had a great meeting with the good guys at Tamiya and they are very excited about the 25th anniversary of the Clodbuster and have some special plans for the Clodapolooza event!

While in Cleveland a few weeks ago I got a chance to visit the I-X Center where this event will be. I got some photos of this massive place! They were actually moving the Cleveland International Car show in at the time. Check out the awesome Ferris wheel which is inside and actual peaks above the roof of the I-X Center so you are looking outside through glass windows once you reach the top! We got a bunch of logistics worked out which we will have out int he next several weeks. Probably after the Monster Jam season is over. I also got to check out some near by hotels and get pricing. This will also be out in the next several weeks. The area is right near the airport

I also stopped by Parma International who's Faskolor division will be the official sponsor of the Show and shine contest! I took a tour of there facility, and got to see all the molds that are used to make the bodies! Pretty cool!
