These hex adapters are made from strong and light weight delrin. Inside diameter is a snug 1/4" fit. Front side uses a 2024 aluminum 1/4-20 bolt to hold the wheel on. I originally made these with the digger and garden tractor classes in mind. I did some testing with one of these in a vise to see if I could strip the delrin threads. I got to 12ft/lbs on my torque wrench before the bolt head sheared. IMO 12ft/lbs is way more than enough to hold an rc wheel on.
