1/4 Scale Grave Digger

Those tires are looking killer:tmb:tmb
Those planetaries,
Those beadlocks,
Everything!!:bling
Thanks Ball Racing. And thanks for your advise on the size of the tread strips.

I've got 2 more tires to sand and glue, then steering is next.
(I hate sanding) :bang

Below is a link to my YouTube video #14 I loaded today. You don't have to sign up with YouTube to look at videos. This one is about the tires. The video seems to lose clarity after up loading. The pictures in the RCMT Gallery are clearer. :rock http://myrcmt.com/review/images/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=165

I just thought of something...
I' ve sanded lugs on clod tires and on maxx and 2.2 to get sharper lugs.

Yours Digger tires are much wider, and larger diam.

So, how much rubber have you had to clean up? If I made a mess of the porch with a much smaller tire I can only imagine the rubber you have to clean up. :shk

Another advantage of having an unfinished basement. I sand, with a 4x36 inch belt sander, for about 20 minutes at a time. Then use my oldest Shop Vac to clean up, then go for another 20 minutes. I have the rear tires sanded and ready for gluing. Stay Tuned......

Tires are done!! :tmb Working on brakes. They'll be behind the hubs on the rear wheels.

1/4 Scale Update

Any updates on the Digger truck lately? Always like to see what you got.
Have a round front end now, not a drive axle but looks better than that boxy thing. Working on my own version of a servo saver.
Hope to do part 16 soon on YouTube, if the sun will come out, this weekend.

Thanks Ric.
