You can buy the toys at walmart, peel off the decals, scan them on your computer, size them, then print them, and put them on,
or take pictures of the real truck, and do the same.

Are you talking about the 1/20 or so sized ones? Whats a good way to remove the decals with out tearing them? Also how do you make them bigger with out the pixel problem?

I've printed on waterslide paper, and then glued them in on the inside.
They do have some vinyl you print on.
I have printed onto regular printer paper, and glued that in.
BUT in bad wrecks the waterslide paper can lose it's bond with the lexan.

I have printed onto a self adhesive vinyl, and put a clear laminate on it, then placed them on the outside, but I like the graphics on the inside look..

I have used printable vinyl from Styka, both clear and white. When using the clear you print the image backwards and stick it to the inside; before you stick it to the body you need to paint the back of the image (i usually use white or silver) the only issue is the clear vinyl is a a little thick and does not conform to sharp changes in the body. If you use the white vinyl clear coat the image to ad some shine and make it waterproof. My latest body (KD Twin Force) I used a combination of both; clear for the side graphics and the white for the grill and lights. I have use printing on paper and attaching it to the inside of the body it worked well, but has started to seperate from the body in spots.
