Blazing Blazer steering servo mounted up front.

Yep, need to get some aluminium tubing to fix up the brush bar and a new rear bumper.

Here's the alloy wheels with tyres mounted, as well as, mounted on the Blazer.

Blazing Blazer steering servo mounted up front.

Yep, the rc4wd rock crawlers do look good on the original wheels. Though they're not an exact fit, but you can make it work. I recently got some 1.9" alloy wheels for the Blazing Blazer from eBay seller rc_loverr. Here's what they look like: I'll post some more pics once I've moved...

Blazing Blazer steering servo mounted up front.

I thought I'd try to make a new chassis front crossmember for my Blazing Blazer which would allow me to mount the steering servo right up the front. Here's some pictures of it. You can see more pictures of it at https://sites.google.com/site/tamiyablazingblazer/home#SteeringServo3

    Blazing Blazer steering servo relocation.

I borrowed this idea from "william" in the tamiya3speed.com forums (who is also "william g" in the rcmt.net forums) of making a servo bracket and attaching it to the chassis rail to reduce the amount of slop in the steering from the radio box servo saver. The difference between mine and...

    My blazing blazer

As the info on my website says, I used a 11T 0.6 module pinion gear from Novak, but you will need to trim the teeth at the edge of the nylon spur gear to avoid the grub screw on the pinion gear from jamming into the spur gear. An alternative fix is to make up a 1.5mm-2mm spacer plate which...

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

Blazing Blazer with High-Lift springs and 2.2" tyres.

I plan to fix the body at some stage, but I'm more interested in getting the chassis right first. BTW, where can I get the resin front grill you mentioned?

Blazing Blazer with High-Lift springs and 2.2" tyres.

G'day all, Here are some before and after pictures of my Blazing Blazer. BB with original springs and 1.9" Rock Stomper tyres. http://sites.google.com/site/tamiyablazingblazer/images/BB_orig_springs_RStomper_1.jpg BB with High-Lift springs and 2.2" Flat Iron tyes...

1.9 tyres on original Blazing Blazer wheels.

I also think the Pro-Line Flat Iron 1.9" tyres would look good on the BB as well. http://prolineracing.com/scale/flat-iron-1.9-g8-rock-terrain-truck-tires-w/memory-foam/ I'm thinking of buying the 2.2" version of the Pro-Line Flat Iron to mount on the 2.2 wheels I just got for the Blazing...

Personally, I would leave it as is.

1.9 tyres on original Blazing Blazer wheels.

Well, to answer my own question it's a yes. I bought some RC4WD Rock Stomper 1.9 tyres and mounted them onto the Blazing Blazer wheels. It is not an exact fit, due to the Rock Stompers being a lot narrower in width at the tyre bead compared to the original BB tyres, but it is still possible...

Exploded view of Blazing Blazer tranny.

I noticed there are exploded views of the Bruiser tranny, but there's no exploded views of the original Hilux/Blazing Blazer 3 speed tranny. So I decided to scan the tranny picture from my Blazing Blazer box. Here's the link to the exploded view of the tranny without parts listing...

1.9 tyres on original Blazing Blazer wheels.

Hi there, just joined RCMT as I have resurrected my old Blazing Blazer from the cupboards, it's been hiding away for approx. 20 years. I does need some servicing, but still runs as is. I have ordered some parts from Bruiser Builder, mainly the bearing kit and rubber plugs for the tranny...
