    Absolutely amazing job. Attention to detail that rivals any other build! 2 questions:

    1. Did you make the chassis yourself? If not can you share the builder's name?

    2. What rear tyres are they? Have not seen that tread pattern before & wondering if they are custom?

    Thanks for the nice compliment.

    1. No, I did not build this chassis. Chassis was built by John Boyer.

    2. Rear tires are Kyosho USA-1 and those threads, I custom made them to replicate the rear tires of the "real" Awesome Kong truck.

    That is one dope truck! My next build is going to be a scale monster (probably old school leaf spring) and you have inspired me.

    Even though I'm not the biggest skinny Kong fan, that thing sure is a beauty!

    BTW, is this the same Kong build that Gavyn started a couple years back?

    Did you make those black cylinders yourself that are sitting in between the scale battery and hemi?

    Yes sir!! Those are hydraulic steering pumps that I made from brass tubing and styrene.
