Hey everyone I'm Brandon. I'm new to the forum and to the rc world this year. I bought a HPI MT2 and already seeing its well gonna be expensive for me to say the least lol. I live in Salina, Kansas and was wondering if there are any clubs in my area or even any rc guys in my area? I'm talking to Termyte Pulling Chassis bout getting into pulling and trying to start something in my area. If you're interested hit me up on here. Other than that hi lol I didn't see a offical new members introduction area so yeah. Below is a pic of my current rc and will be adding more in the coming months.

I have a contact that works for Bigfoot in MO and he is into r/cs and used to be into pulling. I am sure he would love to get the trucks out if he is available. If you get something going let me know and I will pass it on to him. The NR/CTPA is always willing to help new clubs get going. We run both nitro and electric classes. Check out www.nrctpa.org.

I'm actually the guy that Darren spoke about. My name is Doug and I'm from about 30 miles west of St. Louis, MO (in Wentzville). In addition to working for BIGFOOT, and I'm an avid racer of offroad and dirt oval in the area, and Id LOVE to see a pulling club take off in St. Louis. I actually own a sled that we built in our family machine shop about 10 years ago. It's nice, but the design is a bit outdated.

The St. Louis area has a VERY active racing & crawling community...including several guys that are big into scale monster truck r/cs. I'm sure they'd be interested too. I used to run pulls with a group called Show Me RC out in Marthasville, MO, but no one was into it so I stopped. They still race out at this track, and the track owner actually asked me if I'd be interested in getting a pulling group together. He would surely let us build a nice track right next to the r/c raceway, and it would be on private ground.

In addition to that, I'm a hardcore 1:1 pulling fan and attend many throughout the summer. I've got contacts with different promoters through Bigfoot, and would probably be able get an event or two to run at one of the local big pulls to generate more interest.

Just throwing some ideas out there!

Cool, thanks. I'm going to dig my sled out of storage tonight. The only real issue with it is that when we built it, we used 4 proline 2.2 dirt hawg tires as the drive wheels because they looked cool. The wheels are dry rotted out from years in storage, but regardless it really need solid wheels. The sled would pull pretty smooth some solid ones. Anyone know of somewhere that sells solid wheels (around 2.2 size) that use a standard traxxas hex?

Just dug out my sleds. My custom Busch Sled replica is actually in great shape! No rust at all after 8 years in storage! I just need to figure out the wheel situation and it's good to go.

You have everything going for you right now Doug. It sounds like once you get a track in and a date or two you will be able to get something rolling out there. Your sled looks to be in great shape and ready to hit the track again. If I can assist you in any way please just let me know.

Thanks. As soon as I get my sled updated I plan on building a track. I'm going to try and figure out how to setup a RTR Slash for pulling. They are huge around for a variety of types of racing (Slash dirt oval racing has exploded around here), so if I can get a class of those going, it will be easy to get people to try it out.

Hey Brandon, I'm Charlie in Okla. city. Its not that far apart so if you'd like to drag a sled some weekend for fun let me know. I could use some practice and tuning. I have a sled.
